"Me and Lighttail have a connection...." Sunfeather chirped sleepily.

"Um... Okay." Darkfeather stammered. He wasn't sure if she was just joking, or if this was something serious. If it was serious... Then something might go wrong one day. Horribly wrong. Things like this usually ended in disaster; that was what Darkfeather knew.

"Darkfeather...If I die...Lighttail will die too...You and the others have to keep us alive..." Sunfeather chirped wearily.

If I die, Lighttail will die, too. Echoed Sunfeather's voice in Darkfeather's head. You and the others have to keep us alive.
This is not going to end well. Darkfeather thought. But I'll try to keep you both alive.
