Suzume threw a scalpel, it cutting Mayuri's cheek before it hit the wall and stayed there. "Next time, it's hits you dead on." she hissed. Suzume looked away, closing her eyes tightly then shaking her head and looking back at Nieve. "I should get her back home to rest..." she murmured and gently scooped her up gently, snapping her fingers and opening up a Garganta. She looked back at Kyoraku, frowning softly. "I do not blame you or your friend... I should have told Nieve before." she said, and with that, she returned to Las Noches.

Szayel was pacing his lab back and forth, waiting for Suzume to return. His stomach was doing flips and his heart felt like it was trying to burst out of his chest. "Dammit, where is she? It shouldn't take this long!"

Suzume entered the lab, holding Nieve against her chest. She laid her down on a lab table; Nieve was alive, her breathing quick and unnatural.

Szayel moved over quickly, "Song bird! Mi amor! I-Is...is she...?" Szayel's voice dropped to a soft whisper

Suzume smiled sadly. "She's alright....but the child didnt make it..." she said and looked down at Nieve. "I think the worst thing that could happen now is if Gin found out..."

Szayel ran his fingers through his hair, "God, if Ichimaru found out..." He stopped and sighed, "We'll take this secret to our graves...I can't bear the thought of hurting Nieve..."

"But Nieve does have a right to know... and she might tell Gin...." Suzume said and sat down.

"I know it's her right, song bird...but think about it...if we tell her, she'd be crushed...I can't do that to her..." Szayel said

Suzume nodded. "Even with the child dead, she is still far enough along where eventually she will give birth to a still-born... what do we tell her then?"
