Azriel heard the sirens approaching and gathered Gael tightly in his arms. "It'll be alright... You'll be fine..." he murmured, mostly to himself. As the paramedics rushed into the room with a stretcher, Azriel tried to pick Gael up. The paramedics stopped him, "This will go faster if we do it." the informed him before pulling Gawl out of his arms and laying him on the stretcher. Azriel was left to watch helplessly as they pulled him into the back of the ambulance. "Do you two want to ride in the ambulance?" A paramedic asked Azriel and Anila. They both nodded, and Azriel didn't even notice when he began crying. They climbed into the back of the ambulance and sat on either side of Gael. Azriel took his hand, and the paramedics frowned, "He can't go to sleep. At all. So keep him awake no matter what." they told Azriel. He nodded, "Alright... Gael, can you hear me?" Gael angled his head towards Azriel, "Yeah... Where am I...?" he mumbled dazedly. "you're in the back of an ambulance." Gael frowned, "Why? I'm not sick..." Azriel shook his head, "You're hurt. No matter how tired you get, stay awake, Gael."

Dylan sighed as he watched the paramedics haul Gael away. He stood there in the shop for a few minutes, looking around and wondering what to do. Some pedestrians outside who had seen the ambulance pulled up peered in through the windows, and some even cracked the door to ask what had happened. Dylan shooed them off, and flipped the open sign on the door. He went back to the counter, grabbing his phone and calling his boss. He again explained what happened, and asked if it would be alright for him to close the shop to go visit the hospital. He hung up on her approval, and went out to the parking lot to his car. He climbed in, turned the key in the ignition, and headed for the hospital.

Azriel tried to follow the paramedics to see what was wrong with Gael, but they shooed him away and told him that he wasn't allowed back there, "For the patient's health" Azriel wanted to punch something- so he did. He punched the wall until paramedics came through that cursed door and told him to " Please stop, you're upsetting the patients!" so Azriel stopped. He went and sat with Anila in the cold, hard hospital waiting room chairs and gave up. He slouched down and cried, and worried, and when he couldn't cry anymore, he hugged Anila and let her cry.

Dylan pulled into the parking lot of the hospital and parked in the closest space to the front. He looked down at himself; he looked kinda stupid, still wearing his uniform..or at least, it would look odd if he walked in with his work shirt on. He reached in the backseat and pulled out a wool sweater he kept in the car in case it got cold, then pulled his work shirt over his head. He slipped on the sweater and opened the car door, grabbing his leather jacket from the passenger seat as he climbed out. He pulled it on and entered the hospital...It had been a while since he'd been here; last time he had to rush Gwen in for attempted suicide, because her father wouldn't take her. Dylan shuddered at the thought, and went up to the front desk; asking about anyone who may have just came in. The clerk gave him directions, and he headed to the emergency hall of the hospital.

A doctor walked towards Anila and Azriel. He began talking, but Azriel couldn't focus kn anything he was saying. He caught 'severe concussion' and 'keep him overnight' but he mostly just nodded and waited for him to leave. When he did, he sake Anila if she had heard ant thing the doctor had said. She gave him a watery smile, "Not a word." she replied, her voice hoarse. Azriel nodded, "Me neither..."

Dylan finally made it to the waiting room in the emergency hall. He saw Anila and Azriel, and stopped almost dead in his tracks. He looked around awkwardly, asking himself why he came to the hospital in the first place...it was a stranger, what did he care? He sighed, and went to lean against the wall across from the two.

Anila spotted him and nudged Azriel. He smiled, "They won't let us see him yet..." he whispered hoarsely. Anila bit her lip and awkwardly laid her hand on Azriel's shoulder.

Dylan nodded and looked down awkwardly, not really sure what to do or say. He shifted his weight on his other foot, pulling his phone out of his pocket to check the time. He thought about texting Gwen, but decided to just leave her alone...he'd tell her eventually. "I don't blame them. It looked like he hurt himself pretty bad." He furrowed his brows, thinking about what he just said. "No worries, I'm sure he'll be just fine."

Anila was too upset to do more than weakly glare at him for his first comment. Azriel winced, "He has to be okay..." he mumbled to himself, leaning his head into his hands. Anila laughed bitterly, "Sorry to break it to you Azzy, but he doesn't 'have' to be anything... He could die. And there would be nothing we could do about it..." Azriel clenched his fists. "Now is not the time for your stupid pessimism 'Nila..." he all but growled.
