[Moonlit Dream]

Kurou grinned broadly, closing his eyes contentedly as he floated after Kagu's mother. "You need any help with that?" he called after her, slowing to a stop. His hair shone gently in the lights, and he turned as something else came bounding down the hall to meet him, something that knocked him over and licked his face in an embarrassingly wolflike way even though it was a human. "Duuude... Kagu's already told you not to do that... Heehee, get off!" Kurou laughed, trying to push Chibi off of him. The little sun god's tail was wagging uncontrollably, spraying droplets of ink.

Kagu's mother turned around to reply, but noticed another little boy had appeared and was licking Kurow. "Oh, goodness!" She said, covering her mouth in surprise. "Is he a friend of your's? And did you say Kagu told him not to do that? So he is friends with her as well...I must say, he does look familiar...similar to that of a partner she once had...oh, what was his name...?" She said, now wondering out loud.

Kurou nodded. "Yeah, we're partners too... Though he does have a lot of 'em. Dude, gerroff!" he laughed as he shoved Chibiterasu off of him. The boy sat back and wagged his tail, baring teeth in a grin. "Yeah... Dude's, like, a little excitable... Anyways, what were you saying? Yeah, I think Kagu calls him... 'Pooch' isn't it?" Chibi gave a yelp. "And I spoke to you guys before! Remember? I spoke to you, I did!" he chirped happily. "And that changed your mind about Kurou and Kagu being together!"

Kagu's mother smiled warmly at him. "That's right," she said, lauhing a little. "Well, your room's right here. It should be all prepared. Let me know if you need anything. And Pooch, you can stay in there with Kurow if you want," she said, then walked off.

Kurou grinned gratefully. "Thanks..." he said softly, feeling the weariness beginning to creep into his vision and movements. Quietly, he floated into the room and stretched, before kicking off his sandals and removing several items of clothing like his scarf and jacket that would only make himself overheat if he slept in them. Quietly, he grinned and hopped into bed, and he was asleep almost as soon as he had slumped down.

Blinking up at Kagu's mother, Chibiterasu politely shook his head. "I'd like to go look for my Momma... I dunno if she's in Nippon or not since Papa's here, and I don't want to cause you any trouble, miss!" He gave her a grin, wagging his tail. "Plus, I'm kinda a restless sleeper... I once ended up waking my Momma up by headbutting her in the stomach!"

Kagu's mother lauhed at his explanation. "Alright then. Well, tell your mother I said hello. And you are allowed her anythime," she said, smiling. "Have a good night. I'm going to bed," she said, smiling, then went off to her room.

Chibiterasu grinned, perking up his ears as he heard Kurou's breaths growing deeper and longer, traced with quiet snores. "I will!" he told her, wagging his tail and then turning around and dashing away, tail swinging from side to side. "G'night! Sleep well! I'll see you soon!" he called as he ran, dashing out through the door and closing it quietly behind him as he vanished into the night.

Kagu slowly stirred early in the morning. She had a bed head, but she looked like she had a good sleep. She yawned, stretched, then hopped out of bed and brushed her hair and put it in her usual bun with her flower. She switched from her Miko outfit to her stage performance outfit, smiling, then walked out into the hall silently. She snuck past her parent's room, and towards Kurow's room, smiking.

Kurou twitched and shifted in his sleep, and awoke with a short cry, drenched in sweat. Shivering horribly, his eyes flicked about, and he felt his heart pounding within his breast, slowing gradually as he remembered where he was, and sank back down onto his pillow with a sigh. Reluctantly swinging his legs over the edge of the bed, Kurou lowered himself to the floor, and stretched. Even despite his nightmares, Kurou felt like he'd never slept better in his life.

Kagu heard a small cry, and jumped, frightened. She quickly entered Kurow's room, shaking. "Kurow, what's wrong?!" She asked, sounding scared.
