Farbauti began to eat, far more politely then the rest of his group. He remembered court manners.


Tarja finished eat and looked up. A courtier walked over, "It's impolite to eat with your mate." He said calmly.

Tarja blinked, "She's not my mate...." He said slowly.

"I'm his sister..." Sapphire blinked up at the courtier.

Maggie had never been in a court, or any formal proceeding, but she minded what odd and formal-ish manners the fairies had taught her.

Farbauti suddenly smiled and leaned in close to Maggie, "Ever hear about Court Gossip?"

Those two Lords over there are Taro and Viltr, they are both married but each secretly loves the other's wife. That maid over there is in love with Lord Falri, but Lord Falri is completely oblivious.

The servant gossip goes something like this. The butler, Cholcor, is in love with a maid who is way below his status. Amboresh, The valet, murdered Kendra, the cooks, husband. Akithog, that black shadow over there, is an assassin who knows everything about the court. Finally, the only other wolf in this court who has been around as long as I have, Thermadraft, is the eunuch who works in necrotic apothecary, a dark art amongst us."
