"Elly's leaving," I said roughly, glaring at the man.

:Elly:

My dad focused on Josh and frowned. "Excuse me?" My eyes opened and I watched my dad, scared.

[Aven]

.josh.

"Leaving," I repeated, clenching my fists.

[twofrogsinacoat]

:Elly:

My dad took a small step forward. "Why would she need to do that?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Dad..." I said, my voice warning. He turned towards me and took a step forward, this time towards me. "Shut up!" he cried.

[Aven]

.josh.

"Why do you think? You've abused her! Your rightful place is in jail," I growled. I realized what I'd said and cast a sorry glance at Elly.

:Elly:

My dad turned back to Josh, glowering. His arms folded across his chest. "I only abuse her because she deserves it."

[Aven]

.josh.

"No, you abuse her because you are addicted to alcohol." I heard sirens in the distance.

[twofrogsinacoat]

:Elly:

I flinched at the awful truth in both of their words. He was addicted and I deserved it. My dad growled, "Alcohol isn't a factor in this matter, boy. You stay away from my daughter, or she'll get worse next time."

[Aven]

I glared at him, my fists clenched hard at my side.

:Elly:

I whimpered softly, pretty sure that neither of them could hear it. You could cut the tension in this room with a knife. My dad's fists clenched. "Or maybe I should just assume you won't stay away and give her a punishment now."
