1x1 ~ Aven and {sweet pea}

I sighed slightly and parked in front of the house. I hopped out of the car and hurried inside. I looked around the house before finding Elly. "Oh my God," I groaned. "Elly, is he still here?"

:Elly:

I nodded, which caused me to wince. "Yes."

[Aven]

.josh.

I clenched my fists in anger. "Come on, I'm gonna call an ambulance," I said, taking out my phone.

:Elly:

"Okay," I said softly, not wanting to protest. Everything hurt.

[Aven]

And then I'll call the police, I added to myself silently as I dialed the number.

:Elly:

I laid on the floor helplessly, closing my eyes. MY dad was still in the kitchen, popping open a can of alcohol.

[Aven]

After I'd called, I put the phone back. I exhaled and ran my fingers through my hair. "This can't go on," I told her.

:Elly:

"I know, but..." I sighed and opened my eyes, looking at Josh. "He's my dad, it's...complicated."

[Aven]

.josh.

"I know," I sighed, glancing towards the kitchen. "But this qualifies as several different levels of abuse..."

:Elly:

I didn't say anything. Instead, I closed my eyes. My dad chose that moment to stumble into the room Josh and I were in. "Where's...Emmy?" he slurred, getting my name wrong. Again.
