1x1 ~ Aven and {sweet pea}

:Grant:

My jaw dropped open slightly. "Wh-what?"

:Aly:

I sank to my knees right there, still holding Bridget, as even more emotion washed over me.

[Aven]

I swallowed, forcing myself to remain calm. "Her...mother...found where she was and called the police. We went to court and...we won."

[lilt]

:Grant:

My eyes widened as I listened. "Holy crap," I breathed. Why hadn't they told us?!

:Aly:

I numbly kissed Bridget's forehead.

[Aven]

I bit my lip anxiously. He looked upset. Possibly angry.

[lilt]

:Grant:

I pulled her into a hug, careful not to squish our kids that lay in her arms. "I'm so glad you're okay."

[Aven]

Instantly, relief flooded throughout me. He wasn't angry. I hugged him the best I could without dropping the kids.

[lilt]

:Grant:

I kissed her cheek, then let go. "Here, I'll take a Twin Terror for a while if ya want."

:Aly:

I still sat on the floor, looking up at Josh. "You're not mad, are you?"

[Aven]

"No way," I said, shaking my head. "I'm glad we got Bridget back."

I handed him Kimberly.

[lilt]

:Grant:

I smiled and held Kimberly tenderly, sitting on the couch.

:Aly:

I stood on shaky legs. For some reason, I seemed even more impacted with this than Bridget did. I just knew that if they'd taken her away, it would not have been good. "Thank goodness," I breathed.

[Aven]

I hugged her tightly.
