{{ Bleh, I meant the charm was on his keys- though they can have a wind chime thing on the door too. That'd be annoying for Acelet though 'cuz it'd probably wake him up all the time. xD By the way, this is pretty close to the house layout I had in mind for them: xXx-- though the thing in the back of the ground plan in the big sun room I mentioned before, the entry hall (to the right of the garage) is bigger and more 'main' and the drawing room and kitchen are swapped. }}

Acelet had caught the expression Halo had been wearing and titled his head ever so slightly, giving a slightly alien expression of his own. "Geez, have you ever been to Earth before?" He questioned. He had noticed it before and hadn't been planning on saying anything, but he let it slip. Really, he was just joking, though when Acelet joked in his normally monotone voice... he sounded dead serious. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes, fixing his gaze to the corner where the basement door was, there was a basket of clean laundry. He could tell because it was folded. Normally his father's clothing wouldn't be in there ( seeing as he was out on business), but after their pet cat climbed in an open drawer in his parent's room, his mom decided to throw it all in the laundry. He walked over to it and grabbed out a black V-neck and worn jeans that looked like they'd been through it all. "Here, these should fit you better than mine would." He commented, giving Halo the clothing. Acelet was kind of a small, petit kid so he guessed his father's clothes would fit someone like Halo better. Plus, it wasn't like his dad was overweight or anything, so the clothing wasn't huge.

{[ Oh, sorry 'bout that. And thanks, that helps me visualize it all a lot better. ^^ ]}

Halo ought against glaring at the boy when he noticed Acelet tilting his head, his comment making Halo tensed a little, the boys use of a serious tone making Halo a little uneasy, but not a noticeable amount. He simply continued to dry his hair, using it as an excuse to keep his gaze low. How Halo was supposed to get close to this kid was beyond him; if anything, the squirt irritated him. Greatly. But Halo had to do this. He'd do anything to get close to the kid. He had to prove what he was, that he wasn't a failure like all the other demons saw him to be. He wouldn't live up to the angelic, babyish image his name suggested, he wanted the opposite. The fact that even his parents were disappointed in him made it worse. Legal name changing didn't work. This was his last resort.
Once he was satisfied that his hair was remotely dry, Halo laid the towl to one side and attempted to ring some of the water from his shirt, his nose wrinkling in disdain. He hated the cold. After living in constant high temperatures, anything below the norm of thirty degrees was considered below freezing to his system. Halo lifted his gaze from his shirt when he heard Acelet's voice and Halo regarded the clothes for a few seconds before he abandoned his mission of drying his shirt and took the clothes from him. He forced a sort of wry smile as he replied with an abrupt, "Thanks." He then glanced around the room before looking back at Acelet. "Anywhere I can change?" he added.

{{ Yeah, it kinda helped me to have a visual and I know it helps when both roleplayers see the same house set-up. =P }}

"Oh yeah." Acelet muttered. Usually he didn't have friends other than Masayuki ( who basically knew their house inside out ) over, let alone a complete stranger, so he wasn't used to pointing out rooms and such. He himself glanced around a moment before walking over to a door a bit left of them that opened up to the bathroom, figuring that would be better than in the middle of the hall. "Just change in here and leave your wet clothes on the floor. I'll take care of them after." The boy instructed, running a hand through his mess of fiery hair. "I'll just wait here."

He bit the inside of his cheek again, having to remind himself how again a stranger ended up in his house again. It seemed much more logical and fine to do this when they were out in the rain, but now it just seemed pretty awkward.

{[ Yurp. ^^ ]}

Halo tried to act grateful, muttering a thanks as he headed into the bathroom, but, as soon as the door was closed, he barely suppressed the sigh that left his mouth. Had this been his own house, he'd probably've slammed his fist through the sink. How could he have been so niave to think that this would be easy? A piece of cake, as it were. It was going to be anything but. He could barely stand it. Knowing the kid was right there but he couldn't kill him. Not yet. Why befriend them when you could simply steal their soul in the last moments?
Yanking his shirt over his head, shivering slightly at the chill it left behind, he let out a sharp growl as he grabbed the black v-neck Ace had given him before forcing it over his head. His nose wrinkled slightly in disdain at the fact that this was a human shirt but he had to forget all that nonesense now considering he'd have to be living with it all for who knows how long. Halo then changed the rest of his clothes, glancing at the mirror across from him by chance. He frowned. His hair was jutting out randomly about his head thanks to the rain and he looked weary in the bright light. He sighed and momentarily rested against the sink, mentally psyching himself up a little. Who knew what else was going to be thrown at him in these next few days?
Running a hand through his hair to put it back in order, Halo then turned to the door and opened it, his gaze hardening as he did so.

Ace leant against the wall across from the room with a bored expression on his face and rubbed his temples for a minute while Halo changed. He felt like he had picked up a stray cat or something. His eyes flickered up to said 'cat' once the bathroom door opened and he stepped out. He stepped away from the wall and walked over to the kitchen, simply assuming Halo would follow him. "Are you hungry?" He asked once he stepped inside the entry way, going staight to the fridge which he pulled out a box of light green grapes from. He opened the container and popped one into his mouth. "By the way, where did you come here from- you don't live in this town, right?" He questioned, suddenly realizing he had absolutely no information about the person other than his name.

Halo watched with suppressed irritation as Acelet then moved towards the kitchen. Halo took a swift glance around the room they were in before he followed suit, his arms crossing idly over his chest as he did so. He'd never felt more out of place than he did now. This was all just so... bizzare. It would take a lot of getting used to. When Ace asked if he was hungry, Halo realised it had been quite some time since he had eaten and he wondered if that was the source of his weary expression. He bit the inside of his lip and watched as Ace seemed to retrieve something from the fridge. Halo raised an eyebrow at the food in his hand had to admit he hadn't seen them before. That was probably the reason he regarded them with curiosity before he glanced at Ace when he asked where Halo had come from. Halo paused for a few seconds before replying, "No, I'm not from here... where I came from you dont' need to know." He attempted to cut the egde in his voice by smiling ever so slightly but, he guessed, the effect was more menacing than befriending.

Ace could have sworn he felt shivers run up his back with the odd smile Halo gave while giving his response. "Okay then..." He said weakly, setting down the grapes. It had just hit him that he could have invited someone extremely mentally challenged, or just messed up- heck, maybe Halo was on drugs. Then again, it didn't quite seem that way. Maybe the taller boy had a fever and was a bit out of it. It seemed logical, who knows how long he'd been out of the rain. He decided then to unannouncedly walk up to Halo and place his hand on his forehead, standing on his tippy-toes to manage to do so. "You're warm." He said quietly. This was probably due to where he had come from, but seeing as how Acelet knew nothing of that, it seemed to him like the other had a fever.

{{ Ugh, I'm having writers block so I'm trying to come up with ideas just to type a decent sized post. I myself am sick and pretty out of it so yeah, sorry if there are any weird spelling/grammer mistakes or stuff just doesn't make sense. xP }}

{[ no worries. c; ]}

Slightly irritated by the impression he'd just made, Halo simply leant against the counter with his gaze downcast and fixated on the floor. It was safe to say he'd have to try and stop being so tense and relax a little. He remembered the jokes Blitz used to make about his constant tension and alertness and often he'd simply brushed it off. But now he thought about it, he really was always alert. Even when he was asleep, the slightest noise would wake him.
Then Halo thought back to Blitz and the moments just before they'd left and he half wished she was here with him. As wimpish as it sounded, Halo wasn't great at lying especially in this situation and Blitz was almost like his shield, saving his ass when he couldn't save it himself.
He frowned slightly and dropped the thought before it could blossom anymore. But he'd been so fixed in his thoughts he hadn't noticed Ace move towards him and he jumped a little when Ace randomly placed a hand on his forehead. He watched the boy in slight confusion when he said that he was warm. To Halo, that ment nothing and he simply narrowed his eyes a little. "Yes..?" he said finally, wondering just what the kid was getting at.

Ace couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit. He moved his hand from Halo's forehead to the back of the demon's head. He then stood up a bit farther and used a bit of force to push Halo's head down a bit so their foreheads touched slightly. "See how mine is cooler? Mine is at a normal temperature right now. So I think you might be sick with a fever." The fourteen year old explained, looking into the other's eyes with a rather blank look, though his eyes did show a hint of concern. He stepped away and removed his hand from Halo's head shortly after, not wanting to risk getting sick if Halo had something contagious. "Do you feel sick at all?" Ace inquired, walking back over to the grapes to pop another into his mouth.

Halo bit back a growl at Ace's expression at how clueless Halo was acting but he simply stood there and let the boy randomly feel the temperature on sporadic places about his head. He was beyond confused but decided he'd best not query too much. He already looked like a clueless idiot as it was, he didn't need vocal comfirmation. He even let Ace force his head down so that they were level and, at first, Halo once again didn't have a clue what the kid was getting at. It felt bizzare being this close to a human's face and, as soon as Ace was done demonastrating, he pulled his head away. Halo glanced at the floor for a second when Ace asked if he felt sick. Halo had never felt sick a day in his life and he hardly thought he'd start now. A fever? What was that supposed to mean? Halo was so unprepared for all of this. But he finally shook his head and glanced back at Ace. "No, I feel fine," he replied. To be honest, all Halo felt right now was tired. If anything, he just needed to relax.
