Halo noticed the increased speed of the rain hitting the pavement, the sounds of it touching the ground suddenly seeming to be amplified. Whether it be his senses or just his nerves, every seemed ten times louder and his eyes narrowed slightly when the boy started to walk. He'd found him. He didn't hesitate to follow Ace, keeping a slight distance between them to avoid suspsicion. But Halo was suddenly overwhelmed with relief that this was the boy he had been assigned to.

When the boy started to speak once again, Halo was barely paying attention simply nodding to himself as the boy spoke. But even though this was pretty serious, Halo found his eyes wandering and looking at his surroundings - it was all so... different. It was nothing like he'd expected. Well, for starters, it was colder than he'd thought it would be but the hoosebumps didn't register on his skin. The adrenaline of finding Acelet was enough to warm him a little. But Halo snapped back to attention when the boy asked his name. "Halo," he replied a little bluntly. If this boy so much as smirked, Halo wouldn't hesitate to hit him even if he was supposed to be building up the boys trust.

"Halo, hm." The fiery-haired boy spoke quietly to himself. That was a rather interesting name, one Acelet hadn't heard used as a name for something other and a housecat. Given how he'd been acting, he wasn't sure how deserving Halo was of that name of his. He certainly didn't seem to be the holder of any Halo, let alone have any angelicness to him. Maybe he was wrong though. A small smile formed on his lips, which didn't usually happen too soon in any sort of conversation with a stanger. "That's a nice name." He told Halo in all honesty, turning his head a bit to look back at the other.

Maybe his head was working a bit slow because he was rather surprised to see that his house had gotten extremely close to them in the last minute or so. He pulled out his house key from his back pocket, unsure if his sister had locked the door after he left or not. "We're here." He informed Halo as they walked onto his driveway, praying that Masayuki hadn't been staring out the window and say Acelet leading some unknown person to his house. If he had, Ace would have to answer loads of pointless questions and get a lecture on how he shouldn't bring strangers home unless he had a family member or his friend with him. That would be fun.

At the boys repetition of his name allowed, Halo glanced warily at him and bit back the warning growl that crawling up his throat. His gaze was almost cautious, warning the boy to keep his mouth shut if he was going to start with the jokes. Halo had a damn thesaurus full of the wise-cracks and nicknames that he was called by the other Demons. The only one who'd actually seen him for himself was Blitz and even she had her moments when he couldn't take her. He had to admit he was taken aback by the boys smile and response and raised an eyebrow, fighting the urge to poke to boy to check he was real. Had he just been paid a compliment about his name? It almost made him want to laugh out loud, a small chuckle quietlyescaping his mouth as he glanced back ahead.

When the Acelet said they were here, Halo glanced at him before looking at the house they were headed towards. He tried to keep the almost alien-look off his face but it was fairly difficult after spending so long in a world of fire and red sand stone, anything he saw now was astounding in some shape or form. Halo simply followed quietly behind the boy, the wariness in his gaze barely hidden through his hair that had managed to plaster itself to his forehead thanks to the rain.

Once he reached the front door, Ace gave the handle a try only to find that it was locked. It seemed like his older sister had gone back to sleep. "Man... she's so lazy sometimes." He muttered, unlocking the door causing the charm attached to it to swing a little. He opened the door, giving it a push of his hip to help him out a bit- seeing as how their door sometimes liked to basically suction itself into place. He felt the warm air from the house's heaters brush against his cheeks as he set down the umbrella that was dripping with water. "Come on in." He told Halo, stepping inside of the house himself. Acelet slipped out of his wet shoes and put them on a small mat that was to the right of the door. He looked back at Halo and noticed just how soaked he was. "I'll bring some towels over. Just shut the door on your way in." He said, disappearing into a hall. He made his way upstairs and stopped to the door just left of the bathroom, the closet where they kept the towels. Ace stood there for a moment after opening the door debating on how many towels he should bring. He settled on two, grabbing the towels made from soft black fabric. With that he raced down the stairs. Ace had always been pretty speedy- well, when he actually tried to be- so it wasn't long before he was back in front of Halo. He held out the folded towels he held in his hand. "Here."

Halo followed in silence behind the boy, watching through the rain as he tried to handle to the door. He raised an eyebrow in slight impatience as he heard him mumble something as he opened the door. When he heard faint rattling as they walked inside, Halo glanced at the charm that was now swinging above the door. He gazed at it for a few seconds with a slightly confused expression before he fully enetered the house and he'd be lying if he said he didn't feel slightly aprehensive. When Acelet disappeared into the hallway in search of some towels, Halo glanced back at the door and closed it behind him. It was much warmer inside than outside and he was pretty thankful for that. He suppressed a shudder as water trickled down his back and he let his gaze wander in slight amazement; it was so different to what he was used to. Halo guessed that his expression was considerably alien and he hated that but despite his attempts to look less out of place, he was just in wonder over everything. But he broke out of his slight daze when Ace appeared before him with the towels. His eyes narrowed a fraction but he took them from the boys hands regardless. "Thanks," he managed to mutter as he started on drying off his hair.
