In The Next Life (Me, Wormy and Were!)

Annika stuck her tongue out at Lance, "Two can play at that game." She signed, "Kak ob etom gospodin drakon? Maybe I will write the end assessment in russkom yazyke." She walkedthrough the pool room's door, a bit taken back with the sudden chlorine-smell. There were already creatures in the water; some type of mermaid, and a selkie, and a few other things...A beautiful girl wearing white, singing to a small group of men, and a huge pink wyrm-dragon sitting at the bottom of the pool. Annika shuddered in anxiety and walked to the girl's locker room to change into her bathing suit.

Slipping into the girl's lockerroom, it didn't take long for Chimere to change into her swimsuit, a two-piece affair that showed, completely, both of the torn and tattered dragon wings that had been tattooed on her back in green ink. Walking out of the lockerroom, she made no attempt to hide her tattoos, walking over to stand next to the visibly freaked out Alex. "It'll be fine, dude. Just relax..."

Raising her eyebrows slightly as Lance diliberately used words in that weird language of his, Inle rolled her eyes, walking away from the pair. "Tharn, the lot of you. Stark raving tharn!" she called back over her shoulder, using her own word that seemed to come to her tongue before the English one did. She was only a little less nervous about this than Annika was; she really didn't like swimming.

Alex twitched as he heard Chimere's voice, and gulped down his fear. "When... When did I say it wouldn't?" He gave a laugh, but it was high pitched with terror. He kind of calmed down, though, as he turned around, and then gave a high pitched whistle. "Woah, who turned the heat up?" he asked, pretending to fan himself with a hand, then nudging Chimere in the ribs flirtatiously, forgetting to cover his scar and about his fear of swimming for the minute.

Lance stuck his tongue out at Annika again as she started signing in some kind of other language, and laughed at Inle's comment. "You're no better!" he said, drawing his attention away from the wierd creatures and things in the pool, and then moving into the boys' changing rooms, returning a few minutes later in a dark red pair of swimming trunks. Almost every aspect of his well-muscled body was visible now, right down to his underbelly, which seemed an almost unhealthy shade of pale blue in some lighting. His face returning to its serious sort of state as he padded towards the water, he turned to wait for Inle and Annika at the poolside.

((Is it just me, or have I unintentionally turned Odahviing/lance into a ladies' man?))

Annika laughed at Inle's comment and quickly changed into her swimsuit; a black two-piece that contrasted with her pale skin. She walked back to Lance. She blushed at the sight of his muscles, then quickly looked down at the water to hide it.

Grinning and blushing as Alex whistled, Chimere's cheeks were a fairly bright pink as he poked her in the ribs. "I don't know, as it certainly wasn't me!" she joked, nudging Alex back. Noticing that he didn't seem worried about the water anymore, she was glad that she had managed to distract him for the moment.

Changing into her swimsuit, a one-piece black affair with a thin red racing stripe, Inle padded out to the pool deck again, painfully aware of how her leg musculature contrasted with the rest of her body. Combined, both of the muscles of her thighs was almost equal to her chest, in terms of size, and her legs were almost half of her height. Looking Lance up and down for a moment, she nodded in admiration; she had a certain degree of respect for athletic people. Noticing Annika's behaviour, she grinned, poking her in the shoulder playfully. "What's up, Annika?" she whispered into the other girl's ear.

Alex grinned and blushed back at her, giving the most flirtatious grin he'd ever done in his life, his eyes sparkling. "Wasn't you? Oh, really now?" he said, nudging her in the ribs again and laughing out loud as he did so. Attention returning to the water as something splashed him, Alex was jolted back to his senses and stared forwards, absently tracing a finger down the scar, a huge and rather-obvious dent on his chest and belly.

Watching as the pair approached again, Lance greeted them with a short nod and a draconian grin in their direction. "Drem Yol Lok," he rumbled, blinking his burning grey eyes. Watching Annika blush, then turn away towards the water, Lance gave a rolling laugh, turning his own attention back to the water. Padding forward a few awkward steps, he slid into the water like an alligator, pushing off the poolside and drawing taloned hands through the water.

Annika glanced over at Lance as he spoke more dragon-words. Just as she did, he laughed at her blush, and Inle whispered in her ear. She let out a huff--it was much higher pitched than a normal human's--and turned away, quickly signing, "Nothing!"

Blushing more as Alex continued to be flirtatious, Chimere was immediately more serious as Alex returned his attention to the water, and finally noticed the scar that ran down his chest. "Looks like someone got you good there, Alex," she murmured, nodding towards the scar. "Who gave you that? Do you know?"

"If you say so!" Inle whispered, backing away from Annika. Walking towards the water's edge, she cautiously lowered herself into the pool, and was surprised by how warm it was. "Annika! You can come in; the water's actually quite pleasant!" she called, bouncing off the bottom; she had consciously gotten into the pool on the shallow end, where the water was only up to her chest.

Alex flinched and blushed as Chimere noticed the scar, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end as he moved to hastily cover the mark. "N-no I... I don't know..." he said with a quiver, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. "I-it's been there for as long as I can remember... M-my parents said that it was there when I was three... Wh-when... Somethin' bad happened..." He cut himself off. "But, uh, the doctor said it was caused by some sorta knife or blunt spike... He couldn't really tell the exact method... It's, like, nothin' to worry about, so, uh, don't, okay?"

Sliding like a serpent through the water and standing up before Inle, he smiled and looked up at Annika. "Geh! Annika, come on in, the water's fine!" He gave a beaming grin, fangs glittering. His spiky red hair seemed to not want to be slicked down by the water as it should have been, almost amusingly enough, and it still stood sharp like a ring of horns around Lance's head. Sticking out a hand and gesturing to Annika with a taloned finger for her to come forward, his grey eyes were sparking and blazing brightly with fires of excitement.

Annika crossed her arms and stared at the water. It was shallow, this side, but it still disturbed her; some memory clawed at her brain, trying to get out, and yet for the life of her she could not remember...Something about moving, glowing flowers--Radioactive Bioluminescent Flowers...The memory whispered--and poisonous water. She bit her lip and sat on the edge, slowly slipping in after the other two. A simple current threatened to push Annika in, but she braved and slowly stepped towards Lance with the gait of an astronaut, "I don't like this." She complaned.
