Javed frowned. Detention? Already? What, because they all decided that English sucks and they should write in another language? This teacher was out to get them. He was sure of it. Javed look back down at his paper, wondering when he could leave. He wasn't here for the last class, and he wasn't sure how long this one would last. He just wanted to leave now.

It was at that point that the bell chimed out through the classroom, seeming like a speck of light in the darkness that was the classroom. Somehow, Lovecraft had managed to return to his desk without being noticed, and had taken their papers in the same motion; he was an odd teacher, to be sure. "Contrary to your beliefs, children, this isn't detention," he said softly once everyone else had left. "Alex, Javed, I just have some questions for you on where you learned the languages you wrote in." Pausing for a moment, he looked at Chimere, his eyes growing cold. "Chimere, on the other hand...."

Chimere bit back her fear as Lovecraft stared at her, trying not to look at that brooch on his chest; there was something about her that burned, almost as if the very sight of it was searing her flesh. What's going on here?! she asked herself, wondering what she had done wrong. Sure, I saw Alex wince when he looked at my paper, but why? I was just writing in English.....

Alex looked up as the bell went, still blinking his stinging eyes a little until he was sure that they were okay. Sighing a little, he leaned back in his chair, waving casually at the students as they left the classroom as though he were used to this. Some people gave him funny looks, some grinned and others seemed to be trying to ignore him completely. Looking up as he heard his name, he smiled as the teacher used his real name and not some made-up one that the teachers all seemed to be using. On second thoughts, he was beginning to like this teacher; at least he seemed sane and didn't look at totally the wrong places in an attempt to check heartbeats. Alex smiled a little awkwardly at the memory, resisting the urge to giggle, and then looked up at the teacher. "Yeah? Well, I just, like, used to scribble it out and stuff when I was younger and, like, could understand it for some wierd reason... Not sure where I learned it. Might've been something to do with my parents." he said brightly, as though it was the most natural thing ever to talk about the parents whom had been killed, possibly even abandoned him, when he was a little older than three. However, Alex neglected to mention which parents he had been talking about, and he also didn't want to say that he was adopted in the first place. It wasn't exactly his most wanted-to-talk-about subject...

((J: What do you mean? *looks at Chimere's paper* *eyes set on fire* OH YOU JERK! *scratches his eyes out*

Javed leaned on his chair's back legs and crossed his arms behind his head and his legs on the desktop. He sighed, happy, relaxed, and in just the right mood to pi** off someone with authority. Cerberus was looking relaxed too; he flopped down on his side, panting, and giving Alex a pathetic look that said, "Rub my belly!" Javed hated it when other people touched him, but Cerberus was still a dog (albeit a demonic one) and loved having belly-rubs.

Javed glanced at his desk, then at the teacher. His paper was gone, and suddenly the teacher was sitting in his chair all the way across the room. What the heck...? He didn't bother to ask why, "I made it up. It looks cool." He stated. That wasn't true; he had learned the Daedric written alphabet before he could sing his ABC's. His teacher thought it was just a weird tick, so they didn't bother him on it. His parents still think it is Satan's personal language.

((Chimere: *is deeply confused* But... But it's just English....))

"That's what I was assuming, Javed. You have a particular mastery of the language that comes from learning it at a very young age," Lovecraft replied, perfectly calm. "The same goes for you, Alex. Very beautiful in your form, both of you. You may go to your next class, whatever that might be. Chimere, please come here." Reluctantly, Chimere got up, bringing her stuff with her, the darkness no longer surrounding her. "Yes, Professor?" she asked in a soft voice, dreading what he was going to say. "Chimere, where did you learn this alphabet?" he asked softly, holding up her paper, the eldritch symbols and glyphs almost moving in the half-light. "I... That's another language?" she asked, looking confused. "I don't know... It just looks right to me.... Why?" she replied, looking worried. "Because it's a language I didn't think existed outside of a few stories, that's all. All three of you, out. Your next class awaits," Lovecraft whispered, shooing them out of the room.

Alex looked confusedly at the teacher, and then switched his gaze to Chimere. The teacher was acting as though Chimere was some sort of dangerous spider that was baring its fangs at him and was cautious to relax lets it bite. Quietly, he bent down to look at Javed's dog that had iven him the belly-rub-wanting look. He smiled a little, then reached out with a hand to scratch the dog's belly. Dogs had always seemed to like Alex, but he had no idea why. Looking up at Chimere and Lovecraft briefly, the boy felt his hair beginning to stand on end. Had he liked that teacher, even just a little, before? Must've been an illusion. Now there was something giving him the creeps. As the teacher dismissed them, Alex felt his heart surge with relief. He couldn't wait to get out of here... It was so dark and creepy! Plus, he hadn't had the chance to flirt with someone in an hour, and now he was feeling a little... Off, to say the least. Perhaps therewould be someone in the next class... He felt himself give a slight flirtatious twitch, eyebrow raised in thought and a generally flirtatious look on his face as though ready to pounce on the next girl he saw. Blinking, he smiled as he waited for Chimere.

Javed scowled at Cerberus. The dog had rolled onto his back, kicking his legs in the air and wagging his tail. It caught the demon's attention, and he kicked Cerberus in the gut, "Don't do that!" He hissed quietly, then glanced up at Lovecraft. Now that Cerberus was back in his rightful place, Javed could think clearly again, "Yeah, okay. C'mon."

Turning away from Lovecraft's desk as she was dismissed, Chimere practically ran for the door, thoroughly freaked out by the professor. Walking past Alex out into the well-lit hallway, she gave him an odd look at the flirtatious look on his face, wondering who on earth he was thinking about. "Oh, that was thoroughly freaky.... Wonder what his problem was..." she muttered to no-one in particular, shuddering slightly.

Alex grimaced as he saw Javed kick his dog in the gut, and Alex looked away guiltily, frowning. "Hmph.... Nice way to treat a pet..." he muttered under his breath as he stalked out of the room to wait for Chimere. As she emerged, practically running, Alex looked at Chimere curiously as she gave him an odd look, the flirtatious smile never leaving his face. He lowered his sunglasses, which seemed to have gone unnoticed for the full lesson, down over his eyes, then blinked at Chimere. "Yeah, he was, like, a little creepy... At least we don't have his class for awhile," said Alex, still smiling as he placed a hand on his hip and then slipped closer to Chimere with hair shimmering brightly in the light of the hallway. Alex raised a hand to push his hair out of his eyes in a subconsciously flirtatious way, and then grinned broadly.

Cerberus whined in protest and tucked his his tail between his legs. Javed ignored him and stood, walking out the door, "he's not a pet." He said loudly when Alex muttered something about Javed's abuse problems. Javed leaned against the wall, watching the other two talk. Alex was acting really weird to Chimere...He glared at the blonde and inched closer to Chimere, "What's your next class?" He asked and took out his schedule, "I've got "Past Life"."
