Alex's voice was a whisper, filled with malice. He spoke, and the girl replied. They were so filled with hope, with courage, and he was trying to deter them. There was a sick feeling rising in his stomach, he had to fight to keep his voice from breaking. A flash of a symbol in the air, and three more people tumbled to the ground. Well... Not all of them people, if Alex was honest. A mermaid, a fat boy and a bug? Really? Alex thought he felt something jabbing at his side, but then passed it off as his imagination. Turning and listening as the girl spoke again, Alex felt his throat closing up. He and that dog... Were partners? When? Aklex felt a strange dizziness in his head, as though he had forgotten something important. Alex stared at her, listening to her speak. The dog was giving him a funny look. Why? "Is there something you want to tell me, dude?" The wolf didn't answer. It looked sad. Alex drew back, and smiled nastily, the instrument in his hands twirling around until he held it above his head, and then Alex drew a glowing, green sword forth from one end. Alex's mind reeled. Okay, this is a weird dream... I have a lightsaber?! Lunging backwards, the other blade seared out of the other end with a hiss of electricity, and Alex lunged at the air in front of him before bringing it to a halt. "I've brought the blade!" he yelled, eyes flashing dangerously. "You bring the claws! Talk is cheap when we can fight it out instead!" Alex's stomach churned. What was he saying?! He felt himself floating there, and the dog rushed forward, crouching before him in a battle stance. Alex's eyes narrowed, the sword in his grasp seeming to pulse, hungry for the kill.
Then suddenly, Alex's vision was fading, the battlefield around him darkening. He felt as though he had just hit his brain against a wall or something, and he was left, lying, confused, with his head on the school desk. Alex gave a short moan, resting a hand against his forehead. He felt as though his temperature had risen, and he looked around, not overly sure what was happening. Looking up at the board, his eyes flicked over the name that had been written on the board. Professor H. P. Lovecraft? Alex cringed. Alex wasn't sure if it was just him, but he felt sure that he'd heard that name somewhere before. Perhaps they'd written a book? Made a film, perhaps? Alex wasn't sure. Or perhaps it was just his mind playing up after he'd passed out. Alex didn't know anymore... He looked wearily from side to side, relaxing as he saw that Chimere was sitting beside him. He saw taht some of the other students were beginning to read or take notes without a word, but some were staring at him, clearly wondering if he had mental issues of some sort that had made him pass out. Looking at Chimere, his voice came out as a bleary and halfhearted whisper. "Chimere...? How long have I been out?"
((That's up for you guys to decide. XD))
The moonlight dances around me
As I strike a ghostly pose
Mirrors of water shift beneath my feet
And I raise a hand to smell a rose
The full moon blazes true o'erhead
Bathes the world in silver beams
Blossoms are dancing around me
In my world of Moonlit Dreams...
