[[ Delilah A. Riamu ]]
Setting- Her house; on the couch
In context to- Cherri
Deli popped her lips, faking a bored expression. "Oh please," she said. "I've never heard our math teacher say that," she laughed. She knew that Mr. Stevenson had it out for Cherri, and it wasn't exactly helpful to Delilah that she and Cherri were linked. "He hates my guts because of you," she said, laughing. "But he can't help but give me my fair high grades." Delilah smiled as she saw Cherri's cheese-covered fingers wiping themselves on her pillows as she threw it at her. "Dude," she started. "You're wrecking my house. But there's no bother in not getting out," she said. "At least I make some sort of an effort. I have you as a best friend, don't I?" she sighed and laughed. "Cats have claws too you know," she said, curving her fingers in. "You're just lucky that you have a full-human form," she frowned. Delilah never did like that she couldn't be a full cat. There wasn't much of a way to hide.
[[ Dingo ]]
Setting - The peak of a cliff, the sun is rising
In context to- Cookie
Dingo struggled to keep up with the wing-blessed canine. He'd never had anything but his legs, but thankfully, they never failed him. He ran in great leaps as if trying to imitate the run of the gazelle that he so often struck down when hunting, and bounded harshly against the ground. With each step, his paws slipped slightly, but he was so full of adrenaline that he never feared falling off. As he looked up into the sky, his eyes met the eager eyes of Cookie. A few strands of hair were in her face, and the sun was so bright that it illuminated her, bringing so much majestic glory to her wings and body shape. Dingo wished that he could soar up and meet her in the sky, that they could dance like butterflies. But there was no time to do so. As strong as Dingo's will-power was, he'd never be able to do so either. He was destined to walk the earth, and he remembered so as his muscles rippled. As he reaked the lowest peak of the cliff, he took a daring jump. He trusted his instincts, hoping that he'd land like a mountain cat. Always on his feet as he leapt from peak to peak. Dingo couldn't help but find the protective sense radiating off of Cookie a bit contagious. It was an awful feeling. He'd long ago adopted Pookie as his own sister, but it had never made Cookie his sister. They were always... so much more. Dingo shook himself thoroughly from his thoughts that both disturbed and delighted even himself. He met Cookie's pace with gallance. She soared above in the sky, and he galloped below, earth-bound.
[[ Danilo ]]
Setting - The swamp
In context to- Dusty
Dusty, the name slid through Danilo's thoughts like sand might sift itself through the slits between your fingers. It had a ring to it, and for some reason, it seemed familiar to him. More familiar than just the dirt that resided on the path. Familiar as a person... as a fox. Danilo couldn't begin to place his finger on why this thought was so true to him, but he held it in his mind. Slowly, he blushed. He was not protected from the wind as his acquaintance was, and it engulfed him, biting his paws and his chest. He curled tighter into himself, pressed up against the trunk of the wide tree. He was ready to leave the tree. The altitude was giving much more of a painful effect to the wind that blew mercilessly. He wished that the day were warmer as he crept down the branches, awkwardly leaving Dusty's side in the silence. She appeared to be thougtful, the she-fox. Her mind was heavy, and he could see it in her eyes. Of course. It was the scent. The tempting scent of live meat that he'd caught on his nose only seconds earlier. "I smell it too," he put it out there, and he hoped that it wasn't to blaintly obvious. He squinted his eyes and curled his tail in once his paw-pads hit the ground, so as to appear more thoughtful.
[[ Mascaron ]]
Setting- Dressing stables
In context to- Parzival
"Thanks," he said, his hooves still playing in the dirt. His mind had left him long ago. She had brain-numbing beauty. Feeling half the man he was, Mascaron looked to the door as well. He saw the shadow of a person, but it was not the one that had brought him in just a bit earlier. He wondered why they were here. Perhaps to take Parzival away? Would that be better for him? That he had a while to re-collect his composure? But at the same time, Mascaron's heart burned with loss of pride. He knew that he was good with dressage, and he longed to be taken to the pins, too. It'd been days since his mane had received it's proper brushing treatment.
[[ Faith ]]
Setting - The forest on a cold day
In context to - Azure
It took her nearly hours, but a while after sleeping, Faith woke up. Loyally, the male wolf that had gone wild for her lay at her side. She was so happy that she felt the same love for him, but did he know? It was hard to tell. Faith had not been awakened by the cold this time. Azure was so close to her that he sheltered her from the drastic drop of temperature. But as she looked around her, the forest was still majestic. The sky was grey, a color that reminded her of Azure, and around her, the tree-tops were dusted with snow. She felt an overwhelming sense of happiness in this early morning. The night had treated her and her companion very well. Slowly, she drifted back off. She'd wait until later. Until the muscular male that lay beside her protectively had his well-earned fill of sleep as well.
[[ Maipe ]]
Setting - The beach
In context to - Confetti
Laughing, Maipe caught up to the surprisingly graceful, blind she-wolf. She must feel so at home at the beach, he thought. Because the waters unlocked her abilities to see. Maipe wondered where she was taking him. He was sure that she always had enough time to discover the places of the beach, whereas he was a newcomer to this beautiful, empty place.
