Flares brown and white patched coat flicked at the hides feel on her back, along with Cody's weight. She flicked her tail as she started forward, mindlessly heading in her mothers direction, Hekat.

Hekat flicked her tail, watching Zanda play in the river, almost a yearling. Her soft blue eyes darted cautiously around the area, a familiar scent coming closer. She saw Flare and the human a little ways away, ears laid back harshly.

Cody looked at a mare "She looks like you" he whispered as the came closer and closer

Flare had her eyes closed, Hekat's scent unknown to a point. She flicked her tail as Cody spoke, layering to let him marvel over the other horse or even try to catch it if he wanted.

Hekat narrowed her eyes at Flare and Cody, lashing her tail in a simple warning. She noticed It was Flare and took a step back, watching.

Cody padded flares side "I don't think that we could go get her... You get go 'talk' to her if you want" he said getting off her a few yards away from Hekat

Flare felt Cody's weight lift, and opened her eyes to look at him. She shook off the pelt as she noticed the mare was Hekat. She laid her ears flat as she plodded closer. "Why did you give me away to Alice and Fate? Why didn't you fight for your filly?" She asked, stamping her hoof on the ground roughly:.
"Because you were crow food the moment you were born, Song." Hekat replied with a sly grin, Glancing at Zanda.
"Don't call me Song!" Flare whinnined sharply, lashing her tail.
"Why not? It's your birthname, Song of the Angel. Should've been Song of Silence for how little you talked before." Hekat replied swiftly: "Besides, I'm sure you have plenty of names from that human. A disgrace to your family for being a humans pet." She hissed, striking out her hoof.
Flare snorted, small blood drills along her knee. "The only disgrace is a mother who doesn't love her child." She said sharply, turning to trot back to Cody.

Hekat stared after Flare, lashing her tail as she walked closer to Zanda, who hadn't noticed the argument at all.

Cody watched them, not really sure what they where saying at all, thinking they were getting along he sat one the deer skin

Flare lashed her tail as she trotted past Cody, her faze set on the pond behind him. She splashed in, stamping her hooves in the Mud underneath.

Cody watched her go into the pond. He then looked over at the other horse

Hekat was Silent, her back turned to Flate and Cody. She Nuzzled Zanda softly.

Flare shook out her mane, the cut Hekat had given to her knee slowly stopped bleeding as the water sunk it's way into her skin. She trotted from the water, nudging the back of Cody's head.
