The introduction should explain everything. :3)

Moon pricked her ears, watching Light and Silver out of the corner of her eye. The she-cat tensed her muscles slightly, unsure of how either of the cat's would react. When Silver hesitated to respond level headed, she sighed silently, and resumed grooming.
"We've lost a lot of cat's in the past few weeks. Comet-" Moons ears flattened in a heartbeat, her eyes widened, pupils dilating into slim black slits in the center of a stormy emerald ocean. Silvers words faded into the background at this moment, the she-cat couldn't bear listening any further, no matter what was said or done. She squeezed her eye shut, turning her head away from the others. A deep pang of regret hit her like a bullet through the chest. She should have taken things more seriously. She should have put things right between them. She should have been more careful, more considerate. She shouldn't have taken him forgranted.
Shoulda coulda woulda. She thought bitterly, her eyes beginning to water. She furiously blinked the tears away, her claws digging into the moist earth below her.
If she could go back and change things she would have, in an instant. No one could have been more devastated than Moon when he passed away. Even if her feelings weren't physical, it ate her away inside day after day. There wasn't a waking moment that she didn't think about that sweet, brilliant, mouse-brained cave-guard.
Her memories shot back to that day in her life, that she finally realized exactly who Comet was.
Moon narrowed her eyes as she spotted a small black bob of a tail quivering softly under the shade of a small scrubby bush. She glanced around for a rock, or a pebble, or a stick. It wasn't hard to find one, being as they were in the mountains. She bent down and clamped her jaws firmly around a small rock, holding her tongue back from the filthy dirt covered surface. She craned her neck back over her shoulder, tensed the muscles in her neck, then snapped her head back around in the direction of the bush, releasing her grip on the rock as she did so, sending it flying. The rock roughly hit the ground, a loud cruthunk sounding in the air. Startled, the rabbit bolting out of the bush, blindly running straight into Moons ready paws. The Maine Coon swiftly snapped it's neck, smiling smugly down at her prize.
Creek stood, stunned at the clever she-cats strategy. Moon hooked the scruff of the kill in her mouth, and tossed it to Creek. "Hold that, would you?" It was more of a command than a question.
She paused, narrowing her eyes in concentration. I heard, what did I hear? I heard... She thought to herself, while remembering back to when she was hunting the rabbit. It all replayed quickly in her mind, slowing at the time the rabbit had darted out of the bush towards her. There! Just as her claws closed around in, a sharp gasp was emitted from a bush to her left.
She turned to the bush, cocking her head quizzically. As the she-cat approached the bush, a threatening rattling set in. She froze in her tracks, staring down at the source of the sound. A rattlesnake coiled up right at the base of the bush, watching the she-cats every movement with it's beady black eyes. Moon bit her lip, trying to decide whether or not to walk away. The snake was a danger to the tribe, she finally decided. She smiled slyly, glancing down to her right, she found a nice, thick, dead branch. Watching the rattler carefully, she bent down, picking the stick up in her mouth. She slowly approached with venomous reptile, staying low and ready to either pounce or retreat. She poked the end of the stick in the snakes face, which it apparently did not appreciate. It clamped down on the wood, and that was all the time the lithe she-cat needed. She shot forward, as quickly as the strike of a snake, and brought her paw down firmly on the scaly beasts neck, breaking it harshly. Her mouth opened wide in a victorious laugh, slightly surprised that her technique actually worked. She stared down at the snake, wondering just exactly what she should do with it.
"It's times like these where I actually wish there was a purple-blood present." She muttered to herself. "Then this thing might actually be edible." She sighed, deciding that there was nothing for it. The snake would be bait. She lifted her head and scented the air, searching the shifting wind for signs of any nearby birds of prey. She didn't catch the scent of a bird, however she did catch the familiar scent of a bright orange cat. Moon whipped around, back to the bush that she remembered having gasped. She walked up to it, peering in she spotted two gleaming eyes and a bristling orange pelt.
"Comet!" She exclaimed shunningly. She parted the bushes roughly and encouraged the tom out by clamping down on his scruff and rushingly yanking him towards the open. "What in the world do you think your doing!?" She demanded, not taking so kindly to being spied on.
Comet laughed nervously, "Um..." His eyes darted from here to there as he searched for words. "I'm..."
Moon nodded impatiently. "Your?... " She growled. "Come on now, out with it. Time ticks." Her eyes widened as she realized that the cave-guard may have heard her rambling onto herself. That was the last thing she needed, another life in danger because of their ever growing knowledge of her.
"What did you hear- Did you hear anything?" She snarled, her worry hidden behind false anger.
Comet flattened his ears. "What? No, I just heard something about purple-blood... and I saw you hunting." The tom yawned leisurely. "You have excellent hunting skills by the way! Where'd you learn them?" He inquired innocently.
Her fears confirmed, Moon became rather defensive. "You didn't hear anything, and it's absolutely none or your concern where I gather my hunting skills Comet, your a cavegaurd!"
He frowned, his face taking on a hurt expression. "Yeah... I'm a cavegaurd..." He sighed. Standing to his feet, his head low, tail drooping.
The hunter sighed, looking down at her paws in guilt. "No- I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way." She meowed, taking on a gentler voice as her defenses lowered once again.
Comet looked back at her. He smiled. "Oh, no it's fine. I should have been stalking yo-" The tom's eyes widened and his mouth snapped shut. His skin grew hot beneath his pelt.
Moon blinked, "Your absolutely right." She growled lowly. "I wouldn't make a habit of it if I were you." With that, she turned and walked back towards her hunting partner, scooping up the snake in her mouth as she left.
Bittersweet tears ran down her cheeks as the flashback faded. She was so caught up in her memories that she hadn't been aware of her physical actions. She had sunken to the ground, her head buried in her arms, hot tears burning her frozen skin.
