[Complicated game]

Sevilen almost turned around when she saw the fire. She let out a breath and nodded. A small smile started across her face. "You have hidden your gift well Pryomancer." She said. There was a bang from the outside. Sevilen shot up but sat down after seeing it was only a bird diving for some bread who a upset salesman threw a glass at. She stepped back to the corner either way. "You aren't safe either. They will find you Zeam!" She said.

[Interiu]

"They who?" Zaem asked. He walked over to the forge, drawing the now-hot steel from the coals and flattening it with several quick, powerful hits from a small hammer. "I'm just a blacksmith, and still an apprentice at that. Who would want to find me?"

[Complicated game]

"The king." Sevilen mumbled it like just saying it would kill her. "He want's to use peoples powers to win wars. More likely to start them. If someone sees you then people will be sent after you. Just like the man after me." She touched her cut lightly. "If you don't come with them, they take you by force. A water contoler has already been taken. If he gets more of us, he could almost take over the world."

[Interiu]

"You're the first that's found out." Zaem flipped the blade over and rapped on it a few more times before dropping it into the large water bucket. "That's one trick I'd like to figure out. I can heat stuff up, but can't take the heat out of it." He walked over to her. "If there's anything I can do to help, name it and I will."

[Complicated game]

Sevilen looked more and more like she had a war inside herself. "Pretend you never met me once I leave." She half mumbled, half hissed at him. Loosing eye contact. She took a deep breath. "two, one." She mouthed, the kettle going off right then. She picked up a rag and pulled the kettle out. "Time is a wonderful but scarce thing." She said, examining the pot.

[Interiu]

"That it is, though I feel you know more about that than I," he said, setting out two cups. "How will forgetting about you help? Not to mention if the King truly is wanting to...collect...us to wage war, then for the greater good shouldn't I make sure you don't get captured?"

[Complicated game]

She sighed. "You have a point. But at the same time it's foolish. Two people with our gifts would make a double target." She said, making a chopping move with her hand and collecting the steam in the air into her cup and pouring it back in the kettle. "You've hidden your powers well. I was not so blessed with fortune."

[Interiu]

"a double target is nevertheless double security. So what happened?" Zaem asked. He blew on the tea to cool it a little. It was a lot easier to keep something warm than to cool it.

[Complicated game]

Sevilen looked off to the side for a second before looking at her cup. "Well my Father was an army general and my mother was just a gardener. Sometimes I would sneak a bow from his wepon racks and shoot. I was good too. But then one day strings started to vanish and my father found me trying to shoot lightning. But it always caught on fire. He scolded me at first but relising my powers, which we haven't seen in a number of generations, sent me to the king to preform. I refused to make anything happen so they tried to exicute me. They pulled out a bow. I was able to dogde the first few, but then one hit my shoulder and I turned into mist so it would fall out. I escaped up a fireplace and they've been chasing me ever since. I was only twelve. When I came home, my mother wanted to sell me to the king and expand our home. My sisters tried to say everything would be okay, it wouldn't. I saw my sisters get married from the drapes. I would sneak into my nephews rooms to meet them. Food slowly turned into a novlety. And this," She touched her cut. "Became just another bit of my body. If I stay in a town for too long, they find me and try to drag me back. Once upon a time this was home. But once upon a time is for a childs story." She said, a bitter tone at the end. "Since then my life has improved. I've invented a bow that can use lightning as arrows and I've increased my lute skills, giving me a chance to earn some money." She finished.

[Interiu]

"Impressive, as far as the bow goes." He sipped at his tea. "That's just not right, though. Selling your own daughter for money." He set the cup down. "It's settled, then. Whether you stay or go, you're in danger, and I can't stand by and let you get captured or killed." He could feel the warmth on his hand from the fireball he had made. "Especially if we're both...not human, or whatever you want to call it. Shouldn't...our kind...stick together?" He was thoroughly uncomfortable with the thought of himself as not human, but human or not, he and she were more alike than him and any other human.
