"Done," Rozamae nodded. "But so your task isn't so impossible - my mother was a White cat. So my father must have been brown, otherwise I wouldn't have these brown patches on my fur,"
She looked at the kits with pity for a moment.
"They will grow up with me, not you," Rozamae said quietly. "Are you sure?"

Grassfoot tried to think back to the day, but nothing that could be helpful came to mind.
"Not a single one," he sighed. "But it was quite far in the forest. It must be a forest animal, not a Twoleg thing. And if it is a forest animal, it might still be loose out there right now,"
A ripple of mutters erupted from the cats.
"Quiet, please," IvyStar ordered.
The noise died down at once, but cats were still whispering.
"What if it attacks both our clans?" Lightpaw whispered.
"StarClan wouldnt let that happen!" Tidepaw replied, horrified.
