Celeste had calmed herself down, though it took her a while. Celeste had major anxiety issues. Sometimes panicked for no apparent reason at all. There was no wonder as to why she had been so afraid. "It was about my old master," she said simply, not letting go of Steven.

Eli rocked slightly, still holding Aurora tight in his arms. He smiled at her.

Aurora remained silent, shifting a little.

Steven frowned, holding her. "Want to tell me about it?"

"You do know you're all that matters to me now, right?" Eli said. Aurora and Elena. The only people I can trust, he thought.

Celeste shook her head lightly, afraid she would sound stupid for being so afraid of just a nightmare.

Aurora nodded. "That could change though," she said quietly. Aurora shifted, so her face was no longer hidden in his neck. "It's strange how this place became home," she said, quieter than before.

"You're sure," Steven asked, frowning. "If it's bothering you, tell me."

Aurora had fallen asleep as she lost herself to her thoughts. She lay on her side, curled up, with her hands curled into a loose fist next to her head. The girl lay still, the only movement was the steady rise and fall of her chest as she breathed...

Finally, her greens eyes opened slowly. She yawned and uncurled, stretching. She lay there, on her back, staring up at the ceiling as she lost herself to her thoughs. She wasn't quite ready to get out of bed and go downstairs, but she wasn't as tired as she had been the other day. Aurora lay there, thinking about yesterday, mostly about the time before she had fallen asleep. She hadn't really meant to seem so insecure, vulnerable in front of Eli, but somehow it had slipped out.
