1x1 with Chaos and Taim

Kate looked at the weasel and gave a small greeting. She glanced at all the smaller animals and realized she was hungry. Her instincts told her prey but she kept in mind that they were part human too. She fought her instincts and pretended nothing was wrong.

Hunter saw the other bird and squawked. He wondered if he could communicate with is since they were both birds, he thought so but didn't know much about birds. He stretched his wings out and looked at the rest then back at the bird.

[Taim]

Marro squawked, jumping back then froze in surprise when he realised the movement felt so natural. He looked back at the hawk across from him, trying to say something in what he supposed was bird language. "Hell-ooo?" It came out sounding "Arr---owww."

Kip looked from one bird to the other, somewhat jealous that they might be able to comunicate. She would have trouble speaking to anything but a rat. She crinkled her face up as she smelled something delicious and lifted onto her back legs as she raised her nose to pick up where it was coming from.

"Hello." Hunter replied in bird. He realized that it felt natural to speak this way and let his instincts do it. He merely thought of what he wanted to say and let his bird side take over. He studied the crow with his hawk eyes.

Kate smelled food, she wasn't sure if it was the others or what. She stared at the birds with narrowed eyes then looked at the weasel. She stood and stretched out her legs and her fur shined in the morning light. She glanced at her stripes which seemed odd but she'd get used to it.

[Taim]

Kip latched onto the scent and crept away from the group to a building slightly overgrown with weeds. Standing in a patch of sunlight eating shoots of grass was a rabbit. Kip's mind reeled in disgust as her instinct took over and dropped into a stalking crouch. She wiggled close, sticking to the patches of shadows as she drew ever closer to her prey.

Marro's eyes widened in surprise when he realised he could understand the other avian. He tucked his wings in and tilted his head to one side as he considered how to ask the other bird's name? In his moment of being unfocused, his animal side had tranlated for him. He looked down at himself in surprise when he realised what had happened, then jumped a few times at the small victory.

Hunter, and yours? He said in the bird language. It was easy to speak now. He watched the other bird quietly. He stretched out his wings and studied them, unsure how to use them. He could tell there was something wrong with the other bird's wings but didn't know what.

Kate smelled the rabbit and growled. She had to eat soon, she knew that. If not, these poor half humans would be her food. She didn't want to but the longer she waited, the stronger her instincts fought to take over.

[Taim]

Kip sprang forward as soon as she was close enough, leaping on the rabbit and tumbling into the dirt as she scrambled to latch her teeth into its neck. She scrambled for a hold, finally clamping her jaws down on its skull and held on until it went limp. She sat up slowly, dirt and blood smeared on her face. Before she could stop herself, she was licking her lips clean, then began to wash her muzzle. She looked up in surprise as she first notice the tiger nearby, having to remind herself that this was another of the escapees before she fled. She picked up her catch, scrunching her nose up in disgust as she felt the fur tickling her tongue. She dropped it at the other animal's feet, and backed up, waiting for the tigress to take her share before Kip could join.

Marro squawked his name, although it translatted as "Arrow". He couldn't seem to make the 'm' sound very well.

"Arrow?" Hunter asked looking at the bird. He had never heard that used as a name before. He flapped his wings once and was lifted off the ground. His eyes widened in surprise and he not gracefully landed.

Kate blinked at the weasel then looked down at the prey. She took a share then looked at weasel, waiting for her to eat too. She wanted to say thank you but knew they couldn't communicate. She purred instead.

[Taim]

Kip scrambled back slightly, thinking the sound a threat until she realised that the feline wasn't about to attack her. She cauciously moved toward the rabbit and took a small bit, not believing she was eating raw meat. Her face wrinkled, expressing how sick she started feeling, but she gulped down her amount before sitting back on her hind legs to clean her face.

Marro watched with his beady eyes bright with interest. He spread his wings, wincing as he tried to stretch them the way he would his arms as a human. He let his animal side take over after a few sad attempts at flapping. Even then, he couldn't get off the ground.

Kate sniffed her, smelling a familiar scent, and tipped her head at the weasel, it was on the tip of her tongue-- er... tail

Hunter spread his wings again, flapped them and sooner or later he was soaring through the beautiful blue sky.

Marro watched jealously, his eyes shiny with sorrow. He was a grounded bird. He hobbled around, wondering where the others had gotten to.

kip tilted her head to one side quizzically. "What's wrong?" she asked before remembering that the tigress couldn't understand her.
