Jade gathered up her things as the train pulled into the station. She went out through the carriage door and shuffled down the hall. At the exit, she swiftly climbed down onto the station, and turned around to wait for the others.

Leah hurried back to the carriage to retrieve Lark and her trunk, Sophie following close behind. Soon she was out in the station, looking for an open carriage for her and her friends to ride in up to the castle.

Heather greeted her friends as they returned from the prefects carriage as she once again used her wand to guide the trunk down. she handed the wicker basket to Sophie, wh otook it gratefully, and carried Bracken's cage hanging from her other hand.
Settling her trunk a few inches above the platform, Heather stumbled out of the train as other students built up a crowd behind her so she was practically pushed out onto the platform. Standing Bracken's cage onto the patient trunk, Heather guilded them both to the dirt track where Leah waited.

Holly slammed her book shut and followed the other prefects out of the carriage, staggering onto the platform and quickly setling herself in an almost full carriage. as it set off up the beaten dirt track, she staredup at the historic castle which trapped her in it's shadow.

"Heather, I found a carriage!" Leah called, pointing down the path at an empty carriage, "Come on!"
Leah started down the path at a jog, looking over her shoulder occasionally to make sure that Heather was following. Soon, she had reached the carriage, and placed her trunk inside before any other students could claim it. She climbed up and leaned over the side, waiting.

Heather sprinted after her. "Oh..Right" she mused as she snapped out of the seemingly long trance which had enveloped her. Her trunk settled beneath the seat obediantly, as she clambered into the carriage and onto the seat. The whole carriage shuddered as it seemed to pull itself to the castle. "Can't the school invest in some modernisation?" she thought out loud as she grasped the edge of the carriage tightly as it shook it's way across the beaten track.

Sophie ran after them and swung over the side of the carriage just as it began to set off. She smiled innocently as she placed the cat basket on the floor of the carriage.

"Well, I guess they could," Leah answered, "but it just wouldn't be Hogwarts, would it? They seem to be against modernization." Leah gazed up the trail at the castle in the distance.
"I wonder how much Hogwarts has changed since the time of 'He-who-must-not-be-named' and whatnot." she pondered, "Do you think it's changed much since last year, even?"

Jade glanced around, looking for those girls she had rode on the train with.
There they are! she thought, spotting them, Awe, come on! I missed it! Oh, well. I'll just have to catch up, then.
Jade gripped her trunk and Swift's cage tightly, and began to dash in the carriage's direction.

Heather shrugged. "I seriously doubt it. Like you said, they want everything to be medieval and falling to bits" she chuckled as she pulled her trunk into an upright position to stop it from leaning against Bracken's cage. Bracken was, for once, asleep with her head attempting to tuck itself under her wing.

Sophie pointed to something behind Leah and Heather. "Hey isn't that your friend?" she queried innocently as she let out a soft giggle. "she's chasing us" she laughed.

Heather turned around to see her, barely visible in the darkening sky and the dense fog which together was building an opaque barrier against her sight. "Jade, want a ride!?" she laughed as she pointed her wand at the carriage, which stopped suddenly and jerked, sending them flying forward, though Heather placed her hand on the opposite bench to steady herself. The Thestral pawed at the ground with it's mangled hoof in frustration, but obviously Heather couldn't see that.

(Yeah Heather seems to know a spell for everything xDThough she flunks her classes.

"Oh, no. I was just going to run all the way to the castle." Jade said, sarcastically. She reached that carriage and climbed up. "Thanks."

Leah turned back to their conversation. "Yeah, that really seems to be Hogwarts's 'style', huh? But, I guess that's what makes it Hogwarts, right?"

Heather laughed. "Well in that case.." she muttered teasingly as she pretended to look as if she was to release the carriage from it's trance, but she waited for Jade to get in instead before allowing it to keep moving. "A little exercise never hurt no one" she teased as she turned to Jade. "You'd certainly earn a name for yourself though" she continued, laughing.

Sophie simply smiled as she thought it best not to agitate Jade.

"Yeah, I guess I would've..." Jade pondered, as she set down her trunk and Swift's cage. She sat down and tried to catch her breath as the Thestral began moving again.

[Well, I think I have a tad of writers block, so time for more unexpected twists....
Sophie noticed as the terrified look on Jade's owl's face began to melt into anxiousness. She then wondered how her kitten, Wonder, was doing. Sophie reached down to her cat crate, opening the door to pull out the orange kitten and set it down in her lap. Wonder began to try to struggle out of her arms. "Wonder, no!" She whispered, attempting to calm the kitten.
Wonder didn't seem to believe her. The kitten finally lept from Sophie's lap, and scampered over the edge of the carriage. It dashed off into the woods.
"No!" Sophie cried, jumping to her feet, "I've got to get him!" [[OOC: Wait, is Wonder a girl or a boy?]]

Jade gave an irritated sigh. Silly cat...
"Well, then get a move on!" Jade said, leaping from the carriage. She looked back at the carriage. "Coming?"

Heather stood up in the carriage, unsteady as it hit a rock. "It's the middle of the night! We'll never find him!" she claimed as she wrapped her robes around her. "Just look at that fog" she moaned.

Sophie looked solemn as she submitted to the older girl's claims and sat back in her seat, staring at the open basket with a look of betrayal on the other girl's parts.

Heather rolled her eyes at the girl's face. swinging her legs over the edge of the carriage as if she were in a hurdles race, she pulled her wand out and muttered "lumos" as her wand lit a light green. "Maxima" she muttered again as it brightened slightly. Taking the few steps into the Dark forest, she hesitated before pressing on. "Let's just get it and get to school" she muttered as she pointed her wand in different directions, looking for the slightest shimmer of a golden pelt. "this is impossible" she muttered to Leah out of Sophie's earshot, as she heard a shout behind her. "What now!" she called as she swerved around, her face froze in shock as she looked at her, ankle deep in the bog. "Oh well done!" she rolled her eyes as she walked back over. "Now what do we do?" she moaned.

Sophie whimpered as she tried to pull her shoe from the mud, but it only seemed to pull her deeper into the bog.

(ive decided sophies gonna be a 3rd or 4th year now, she whines too much for an older student lol)
