Rai leaned against one of the many boulders in the Silver Forest. His forehead was streaked with sweat and he was panting, as if he ran to the horizon and back. His brow knitted together in concentration and he frowned. He didn't flinch when snow thudded to the ground, falling from a branch high in the trees that was too weak to support the sticky ice. He rubbed his temples, wishing his headache away and groaned.

The Winter festival was approaching and the leader had them doing flips to get ready. He was annoyed with everyone running around and throwing orders at him like he was back in his parents' lab. He hated that experience and didn't wish to repeat that. He swished his dark tail and ran a hand through his rugged navy locks. Rai straightened his back and pulled himself onto the first rock, careful to keep his footing. He kept climbing on top of each snow covered rock, his hands numbing as they settled in the snow and lifted repeatedly.

The part Luxray sighed almost contently as he reached the top. He was almost twenty feet in the air and he enjoyed it. He could see over the tree tops and the gray mountains in the distance seemed to smile at him wickedly. He shuddered, hoping that along with many other towns and villages that the Society burned down his parents' lab. They deserved it, and if Fionn, the Society Captain, didn't do it soon he might just have to do it himself.

Zena

If one wishes to be quiet, they shall be still. Once they are still and peaceful quiet will come ~author unknown

Zena squinted her eyes in frustration. She was a spy for the society, she can't like one of "them". She scrambled down the tree as silently as possible. Swiftly landed on the ground with her knees slightly bent. She can do it. All she had to do was ask. She walked up to Rai, making a bit of noise so he didn't get surprised. He landed on the ground. "Rai, listen. I.." And then she stopped there waiting for a right way to say what was on her mind.

Rai rolled his eyes and squinted at Zena. Another gijinka, an Umbreon one with short hair as black as night itself. He sat down on the top boulder, relishing the the scenery for another jiffy*. "I know, I know. You want me to go back to the White Mansion and set up." He grumbled, staring down at her. He noted that even though she was short, she was at least several inches taller than him which irritated him to no end.

He bared his slightly pointed teeth, they flashed with small bolts of lightning to show his frustration. "If that's what you want than leave and tell the Leading Assistant I won't come down and let her/him take his/her anger out on you." He snapped, closing his mouth and laying down on the smooth boulder.

The snow tickled his cheeks and he flinched at the cold. He straightened himself, sat up, and got to his feet. He rubbed his red cheek and grunted. "Go away now." He bit his lip to keep himself from yelling at her, wasn't her fault she annoyed him. Wait...Maybe it was.

*A jiffy is an actual time period I believe. It's like a few thousandths of a millisecond or something like that.

Zena stood shocked, "That's not.." she started, "Yes, I'll leave now if thats what you want." She stood blushing. She turned around flicking her short, black hair out of her face.

Rai frowned, "Fine, stay." He spat, trying to release the irritation from his voice. He looked at her and scowled at her blush, what in the world did she have to be embarrassed about? He ran a hand through his shoulder length hair and sighed, rubbing his forehead. Zena was giving him a headache and he wanted her to either leave or be quiet. Preferably leave, but he couldn't make a person move.

"What do you want? What could possibly be so important you need to jump out of a tree like an idiot?" He asked, resigning to at least attempt to be friendly. He didn't like the people in the Order but Zena was usually quiet and he could deal with silence. Rai turned his head, looking out to the horizon again. The mountains covered the setting sun and fans of pink and orange streamed out from behind them.

His heart made be made of stone to humans but he was a sucker for good scenery. Landscape glowed with compassion, something he yearned for with his Pokemon instinct. Stupid instincts... He thought grumpily and crossed his arms.

"How did you know.." But then she stopped herself, "I didn't hide in the tree! I don't like you!!" If Zena was bad at anything it would have to be lying. It was one of the traits so longed for. It helps a lot when you're a spy.
She shifted her feet nervously blushing, hoping that thoose words had slipped over his blonde head of spicky hair. "I'm sorry. I should go." And walked quickly towards her tree, half-hoping he would stop her and tell her that he felt the same way.
She paused for a moment to run her hand over the Rai + Zena = <3 on the tree.

Rai's jaw almost dropped open. He could read a lie in a person's eyes but Zena had it written all over his body. He blinked his bright eyes a few times, expecting himself to wake up. He shuffled his feet uncomfortably and looked at the pale gray rock. The dull silver mingled with lighter ivory tones and deep blacks. The gijinka cleared his throat and looked up to see where Zena was. She was running her fingers along the rough bark of a tree and hidden inside a crevice was the words Rai+Zena=<3

"Wait, what? You were lying when you said you don't like me and you engraved Rai and Zena equals love onto a tree. What game are you playing at.?" His navy tail swished, the star tip twitching slightly. His voice was agitated and confused. Sure they were in the Order together but he rarely ever talked to Zena. Rai rubbed his forehead and narrowed his eyes at the girl.

"I'll just go" Zena said and dashed out as quick as she could silently thretening herself for not remembering he was a gijinka and could see on the tree. After passing the tree She gracefully climbed up the Birch tree. The leaves fell off the mighty branches reveiling her location. She slid onto an overlaping branch from a nearby tree. The shade chilled her and her ears flicked around to listen to her surrondings.
