Personality ::
Though Ben has been living for about the last three hundred years, he tends to blend in very nicely. He is pretty observant, making mental notes on how people acted and dressed so he would be able to fit in better. He did what he had to, he dressed like a teenager, talked like a teenager, acted like a teenager. Of course, he did slip up a couple of times, which might give him and his past away, but so far luck was on his side. No one suspected it, so either he was pretty good at acting, or the human race was growing stupider as the years went on. He didn't know, nor did he really care.
When he is alone, or with more of his kind, his real personality comes out. He is a gentleman, it was just the way he was raised. He holds open a door, pulls out a chair, and tells girls they are beautiful, not hot, the one thing he refuses to call a girl in this century. It might cause him to loose the girl, but at least he could keep his manors. He rather keep his pride than a girl.... or maybe he just said that because he hadn't found her yet.
He is an artist. I don't mean with a paint brush or with clay. I mean with a pen. He loves to write, but he would never admit it. He had been told to write down his feelings, and I guess after all the years, it just started to come easier for him. It was one of the only places he could let his imagination run free. Don't question it, don't fight it. Just write it down, and hope people like it. I thought that is what all the other hot shot writers did. Some of those great examples who he likes to use is Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, Shakespeare. They were all his writing muses, seeing as they seemed to have the largest success. People usual thought he was crazy for liking to write an essay, but maybe it was just the generation. Hey, everyone thought Edgar Allan Poe was crazy and look at where he is now... dead. But, though Poe was dead, so was Ben if you wanted to look at it that way.
Most of the time, Ben is a sociable person. He likes to make friends, and he doesn't know why so many people are so shy. Just walk up to them, and start a conversation. If they want to judge, or not want to be your friend, the fine. It was usually their choice, in less Ben was the one being anti-social and not willing to be friends. But, he usually isn't that great at taking action, or making the first move, so just bear with him.
To most of his feelings, he can turn it on and off like a light switch. If he wants to feel sympathetic towards you, then he will. But, he can easily turn it off once he realizes you are using it to your advantage. Remember, he is observant. He doesn't like it when people use him, it has happened a lot really and he was quite sick of it. Call it a shocker, or just call it weird, but I don't think a lot of people like to be used. He also hates when he is being lied to, which is one of the reasons he does some of the things he does. He tends to have small trust issues, and maybe it is because of his strange past, or because of the people he encounters every day. He just doesn't think this generation can be well trusted.
He isn't great with technology, and you can often find him throwing his phone across a room, or "dropping" his iPod into water. But, he seems to keep turning back to it, maybe because it really does make things easier, and because it seems everyone is using it. He doesn't see why though, is it because everyone got that lazy to pick up a pen and write a letter. I mean, he knows that it is quicker, but why is everyone in a rush all of a sudden. People don't always need to receive a response to a text they sent literally 10 seconds ago. It is just really ridiculous sometimes. He hated it
One thing that technology did provide with him is a love for cars. He doesn't know why, but he seems to enjoy driving a lot more then riding a horse everywhere he went. And he knew that it was bad for the environment, but he had been living for about 300 years, let him live a little. He doesn't really know a lot about cars, but he just loved driving, though nothing really ever beat walking. Driving was fun, but very dangerous sometimes, he had had numerous close calls in cars like the Model-T to corvettes, all of them seemed to be dangerous. Which was why driving was a once in a while treat for him. He wasn't going to go all obsessed about it, no no no.

General Description ::
Ben is a tall boy who is about 6'2". He doesn't consider himself tall though, everyone else is just short. He weighs about 160 pounds, and is pretty skinny. He isn't insanely skinny though, and is actually pretty strong. Maybe it's one of those vampire things, I don't really know. He has sandy brown hair, and usually it sweeps across his forehead in what is most common as "The Justin Bieber hair style." No. He isn't like Justin Bieber, in fact, he was pretty sure he had had this hair style like this a long time because Justin Bieber was known to man. He has very dark blue eyes, but with little flecks of lighter blue. He personally loves his eyes, though he won't admit it.
His usual style doesn't really differ from the average boy style of today, he likes to fit in and stay with the times. On a nice summer day, it is usually shorts and some muscle shirt, t-shirt, or sport team jersey. On a cold winter day, it is usually dark denim jeans with a dark shirt. He likes to color coordinate with certain things. On the all in between days, it varies... He is known for his leather jacket, which he likes to wear everywhere. It is one of his signature looks.
He refuses to wear any jewelry or make up seeing as he thinks it's a girls thing to do. He just thinks it annoying to see guys wearing eye liner or something like that. There is one exception to the jewelry... and that's a wedding ring, if he ever decides to get married. He would wear a watch, but none of those rubber band bracelets or shark tooth necklaces. He just doesn't think they look that good on him, and he just isn't that much of a fan. Of course, he doesn't judge anyone who does wear that, it is their fashion choice, not his.
