Devina growled at Sereena, before turning to the man in the clad black suit. "...Speak. I don;t have all- oh wait, I do, since I was so rudely awoken. Just...get on with it."
Sebastian glared coldly at the ground, before clearing his throat and motioning towards his young master. "You and I both know, sir, that Lizzy has passed away and obviously this means your engagement to her is no longer possible. But, miss...Cobalt, you also lost an engaged...fiance." He tried to find the correct words that the young... lady would understand. He wasn't surprised when she snapped towards him. "Don't play dumb with me. Use fancy terms, I don't care. And my...fiance was quite the bore. Anyway, continue ?"
Sebastian nodded, taking a step forward. "Your mother, Sereena and I have come to an agreement. As you both are fine rulers of your industries, we have come to a conclusion. And as you are in the same position, it makes it even easier for us." He concluded, now turning a bit so he faced both children. "Ciel, Devina, you are are engaged."
Devina was almost immediete to react. She at first had a confused look, before she laughed it off with a simple wave of her hand. "Good joke, sir. Really got me there for a second. So what's the real issue ?" When she saw his expresion- a serious smirk with eyes narrowed the slightest, she felt herself draw back abit. Shaking her head, she turned to Sereena. "This man is joking, right ?"
Bard made a motion to silent the others outside in the hall with him. He, Mae-Rin, Finny, and the younger servants of the house had their ears pressed against the doubles doors. One- the younger cook, Gale- had his eye in the keyhole, watching. "Oooh, this is getting good." He teased, getting a smack from Bard.
"Quiet ! You'll alert Sebastian. Now shut up and watch." He scolded, pressing his ear to the door once more.
