Austyn's ears went back as Aoi came a few steps toward him, his head down. "My name is Austyn. With a 'y'. And you're a dog-like-human, right, I'm guessing?" His mouth was curving into the slightest of smirks, deciding that he probably didn't mean much harm. He was obviously curious about him, and he honestly wasn't minding the attention. This guy was one of the first people who didn't call him a freak when they saw him, or asked to rub his ears or something stupid like that. Yes, this conversation was slightly awkward, as he'd just come into an abandoned house and found one of his kind just hiding there. We're all on the run, I guess. It's not a strange thing that he's holed up in here, since they're quite literally trying to rip us to f-----g trying to rip us to shreds.

Aoi nodded with a smile. "Yup, I am. And nice to meet you, Austyn." he said in a friendly tone and then looked around. "So how come you found this place? Were humans after you?" he asked since this was very possible. That was how Aoi had gotten here. But... for an abandoned house it was in a pretty good state... if you turned your head upside down, closed your eyes and painted it... But other than that, it was ok. Aoi walked to the couch and sat on it, making dust fly around him. He couldn't care less about his clothes getting dirty- they were already thanks to the branches and the falls. He looked at Austyn curiously. He just found him interesting...

"Yep. I was being hunted down. Those dogs were going insane." Austyn replied, letting out a small laugh. Noticing Aoi's curiosity but not saying anything about it, he simply watched him without saying anything for a bit before he nervously added, "I think they were mad at me because I was eating something from an all human's joint. I think it was like McDonalds or something. Apparently we're supposed to starve to death." His tone was slightly bitter. In the past two months, he'd seen his friends get dragged away while he ran, blinking back the tears that he didn't want.

"Oh.." was the genius answer Aoi could think of. "That sucks... It's like we are something different.." Aoi said sounding a little sad and disappointed as he looked down. "I mean... we are different but not in a bad way.. in a good, special one. We shouldn't be treated like this, we are not animals." Aoi sighed and looked up at Austyn, forming his usual smile. "But that shouldn't stop us. We can find a way to survive and thinking of bad things isn't a way." Aoi nodded to his words and the stood up. He started exploring around since he didn't have much time until Austyn came in. "I believe this house is pretty nice. It can be of a good use." Aoi talked already as if he knew Austyn for a while. He was afraid to talk to someone like him. Humans were scary.

"Yeah. I guess so. There's nothing wrong with our existence, I mean, what did we do?" Austyn replied, nervously biting his lip ring and looking at the older man, confidence showing briefly. He wasn't so afraid now. "Maybe the people left some food. Who knows how long this place has been abandoned. Maybe just a few days." You're talking with a stranger, Austyn, you know it isn't safe. He could be a spy, tortured to the point of insanity so he would come and find people like you to kill, or even worse... Reminded his conscience unhelpfully. There's something so interesting about this guy. Maybe it's because I haven't talked to one of my own kind for a while. Or perhaps it is something more than that.

Aoi nodded. "That's why humans can't handle us. We are different and we didn't do anything to them. This bugs them and they try to disappear us from Earth without any good explanation." he said and then thought a little. "Maybe you're right. There might be something that is eatable.." he said walking to the corner where was supposed to be a small kitchen. He started going through the cupboards and drawers to find anything. Even though Austyn was still a stranger to him, he wasn't afraid to turn his back to him. That kid seems as innocent as a puppy. he thought calmly and kept looking in the drawers. "Oh! I found some tunas..." he said putting some jars on the counter. "You will eat like king." he joked and chuckled a bit.

Austyn had followed him in, a smile on his face and his hands behind his back in nervousness. "You stereotyper." He joked in a friendly manner, although he eyed the tuna like a wild animal. Well, wild house cat human for that matter, if you want to be specific. "And yes, that's probably why. They're just hunting for people who look different or sound different or something like that. It's not very fair to discriminate. I feel kind of like a slave back before the Civil War." He sighed quietly. "Separate but fair. Or so they say." His third statement was dangerously quiet, a small hiss of hurt and pain all mashed up into two statements.

Aoi smiled proudly at what Austyn had said, taking the 'stereotyper' as a compliment. He looked up at Austyn. "Hey, we should just stop this conversation here." he said after hearing Austyn's tone when he talked about this. "We should not talk nor think about bad things." Aoi smiled warmly at him. "It only makes us sad and depressed- which isn't a good thing." Aoi looked at some other cupboards and found some more tunas. "D*mn, there's only tuna! I start to think that the one who lived in here was a cat-human." he joked and rolled his eyes. What to do? Tuna or starving. He took a canned tuna in his hands and turned to Austyn. "Kid, catch." he said throwing it to him with a playful smirk on his face.

Austyn rolled his eyes and attempted to catch the tuna, but it clattered to the ground beside him and he sighed, then picked it up. "I guess. Being depressed makes you slower and we need to be fast in order to get away from those darned hunters." His voice was now more lighthearted, and he smiled at him. "And if there's only tuna, it was either a crazy normal human or indeed a cat human. There's a lot of ways to cook this, but one will get tired of having just this stuff."

Aoi rolled his eyes. "Nice catch, kid." he said jokingly and smirked. He picked up a tuna for himself and looked at it. "We will survive." he said with his gaze on the can, reading the ingredients in a hope to find a good reason to eat fish. "You know, this house can be a pretty nice hideaway." Aoi looked around as he walked to the small living room, playing with the can in his hands. He jumped on the couch, raising dust that flew around him like a transparent white cloud. "A little cleaning and it will be nice." Aoi smirked playfully. Being half dog made him pretty energetic. And it's been a while since he could be himself in front of someone. He sat on the back of the couch, staring back at the can. "So where you come from?" he asked curiously, only to make small talk.
