"yes yes it is." Val said with a smile. She shook her main and tossed her head.

Emily sighed and looked at her necklace.

"lets get you home before it gets too dark to see the trail." richard said

Emily nodded and kicked Val. Val trotted ahead

cara naturally followed right behind val. richard rubbed caras neck

Emily rubbed Val and patted her side. She dident even smile she hasent for months since she watched her brother die. Val was the olny one she trusted

richard hopped off when they got to her house. "i guess ill see you later." he patted val and gave her a carrot when emily wasnt looking. "thanks val." he whispered

Val ate it and nuzzled him affectionately she knew he had understud what she was trying to say.
Emily nodded "yeah shure." she said walking up to her house

"have a good evening." richard hopped on cara and walked back the way he had come. on the way back it began to get darker. richard pulled out a light to see the trail. he knew it was dangerous to ride at night, but he trusted cara. suddenly something ran across the trail spooking cara. she reared back, kicking the air. not having his tack on, richard had nothing to grab ahold of. he fell back and hit his head on a rock. he was knocked unconcious and had a cut on the back of his head. cara ran into the forest, scared. she ran back to the closest place she knew there was friends. emilys
