River kept his eyes closed and felt her hand on his. He couldn't help that his mind was constantly replaying the events of his childhood. But hopefully this vampire wasn't planning to kill him. She would have just drank from him instead of bringing him back to her home.

At last, Celeste unhooked her fangs from his neck, feeling full. She licked her lips, which were now bloody. She reached over and grabbed a cloth, pressing it to his neck. "It may burn. It may not. If it does, tell me. I have ice," she said.

River put his hand on the cloth so she didn't have to keep holding it. He looked at her the panic leaving his eyes slowly.
"Well...That was different" he said softly standing up properly.

[RoseQ]

"You get used to it," Celeste said, dropping her hand to her side. "At least thats what other prey has said," Celeste then said. Although, considering Celeste was human once, she knew you got used to the bite too. Though it had been such a longtime, and she had a bad memory.

"Wonderful term that" he said sarcastically. "Prey" he added not sure she realised which word he meant. He leant back against the counter with a sigh and looked down at his hand. The cut on there was dirty and he sighed again, he would need to sort it.

"I didn't mean any offense," Celeste said, shaking her head. "But in all honesty, that's really all humans are to vampires," she said simply, shrugging her shoulders. "Besides it's a more universal term for those vampires who don't drink human blood," she said, sounding factual.

River nods, he could understand why it was the most used term but it wasn't exactly pleasent to hear. He yawned lightly and just watched her.
"Still prefer it if I wasn't awake next time, felt bloomin strange" he said with a small smile and a shrug.

Celeste smiled and let out a small giggle. "Alright," she said, smiling softly at River. "I'll try my best to do as you wish," she said, her bluish green eyes looking determined. Yet she looked very childish when she did that.

River smiled warmly and pulled the cloth away from his neck. It had stopped bleeding and he sighed feeling it with his hand.
"So now what?" he asked politly.

"Well..." Celeste said, looking blank. "Oh yeah. Does your head feel better?" she asked, wandering up and ruffling his hair about to see if there were any bumps. She had hit his head pretty hard on the pavement.
