Mirri looked at him again "No, No. You're fine, you can keep asking your questions. I doesn't make me feel uncomfortable." She replied quickly. "I just wished I had someone I could travel around with." she said almost to herself.

"You've never heard about King Solstice before?" Kira said, clearly shocked. "He's been on the news probably a million times since the conflict started. Just a warning, though, he's not all that friendly. I've met him once before; he was yelling at a couple of Agents for something."

"Why don't you find someplace to stay?" Tor asked. "There are some apartments funded by the C.R.A that house strays and wanderers until they can afford a place of their own; why don't you stay there until you get back on your feet?"

"That sounds like a great idea!" she said excitedly but then drooped "But I don't have a job, I know they are free but what will I do without a job?" she asked Tor

Kira shrugged.
"And no one spoke of the King? Even cooped up in an orphanage you probably would have heard something in passing. And now that you're old enough, I'm sure you've heard at least one comment about his antics on the streets. He's not very popular right now," Kira said, her voice thick with malice.

"Look for one," Tor said. "You're in the middle of the biggest city on the planet. There's bound to be at least one place looking to hire someone. Tomorrow, when the rain passes, I can take you downtown to one of the billboards. There's usually a few posters advertising job availabilities."

"Would you really do that for me?" she asked him.

Tor chuckled and gently bumped his shoulder against Mirri's.
"Of course," he said. "I was in a similar position a few years back. No home, no job, I was a stray like you. And now look at me." He grinned. "I'm one of the best Agents of the C.R.A and on the way to become Director of the Cainis Agency."

"Was it bad there?" Kira asked, her voice becoming a little concerned.

"Your so lucky" she finally concluded "But I'm totally going to the best Cainid ever" she said in an almost childish voice and pushed his shoulders.
