Poker fell into sleep as soon as she closed her eyes, she curled around her pups to keep them warm.

Aro stayed wide awake, his nostrils flaring. Alpha appeared again, back in his holographic form again.
"Go to sleep, Agent," he said. "She is safe here. No one can harm her while I pilot this ship."
Aro nodded, but he didn't want to sleep. He just lowered his head down onto his forepaws and let his eyes close halfway.

"Shall we ask him?" Willow questioned, motioning to the Director with her head. "He seems in a hurry to leave." She added, studying his quick motions.

Exin growled at the News Anchor as he mentioned the Cainid with the Darkness mark, him. The cainid he had fought with saw his Darkness mark and attacked him.

Bloodstone nodded.
"Go catch him for me," he said. "You're faster than I am."

Kira nudged Alfain awake on the morning of the race tryouts.
"C'mon, we need to get to the racetrack early today," she said softly.

Nocture wedged herself into her fathers forepaws before drifting off to sleep. Her small breaths were almost silent.

Aro looked down at the pup for a moment and then smiled gently. He lowered his head so that she was under his neck comfortably.

Kira chuckled.
"Alright, then. Let's go," she said.

When the two Cainids reached the racetrack, there were already a few others on their way inside. Most of them were female, but there were a couple of males hoping to tryout as well.

Willow gave a curt nod before sprinting off to herd the Director back. "Sir, Commander Bloodstone requested you." She told him, skidding to a stop infront of him.

Netyri stretched, and she trotted down to the race track eagerly. She wagged her tail as her team captain came into sight, and she sat obediantly infront of him. "Warm up as usual?" The young Cainid asked, she was already on his team. As he nodded, she started around the track at a jog, then worked her way up into a full sprint on the outside ring of the track. Netyri let out a small bark of delight, she loved running.

The Director's ears went back almost instantly, but he quickly recovered.
"I'm sorry, but I'm very busy," he said evasively, trying to get around Willow. "Tell him that he can leave a message with my AI if its really important."

Ari was standing at the fence, watching a couple of the older, single racers duke it out on the race track. Single races were being held as well so that they could secure sponsors for the season.

"Wait until Ari calls for those who are trying out for his team," Kira said. "The single racers get to go first because they can bring in a lot more money for the sponsors, and then they get to the teams."
