You wake up and look around. You frown at all the boxes. Your family had just moved to a new neighborhood. Jaywood. Summer had just ended and school started tomarrow. Your bookbag sat on the end of your bed. You get up and open a window. You hear your mothers voice call out. "Go get the mail." You get dressed, brush your teeth and hair, and walk outside. You pick up the news paper and a bright orange catches your eye. You notice that on every street lamb there is a paper. You look at the paper. You scan the paper and take it off. You add it to your newspaper and walk back inside. Your mom blurts out to your dad. "Hey, honey! Let's go out to eat tonight!" "Sure!" Your dad replies. You're going to the Jaywood cafe for open-mic.-night.
