XD It's fine.

Jason's eyes were closed as he lay on the branch of the tree. Lazily he swung his foot back and forth. Today had been a good day. He went to school, showed off a few of his lighter tricks, nothing too fancy. He smiled. They had no idea what he actually did. All they saw was just the flame inside the lighter grow taller. They didn't understand what he really did. Picking his head up he saw Andrea. He cocked his head slightly. He knew her...has known her for a while. They have been neighbors for a long time, but never got the time to talk. They were on completely different ends of the social ladder. It wouldn't be right for him to talk to her. He glanced down. An apple laid next to him. He remembered when he was a kid he used to throw rotten apples at her...maybe it was time to start that up again. He picked up the apple, tossed it into the air and then caught it to make sure he would throw it with enough balance. Then he chucked it. The apple sailed through the air, a perfect shot, and hit her in the back of the head.

"OW!" Andrea yelled as something hit her with a hard thunk on the back of her head. She turned slowly to see an apple rolling away and Jason grinning from ear to ear. "Very funny!" She yelled across the yard. The apple was starting to grow, and she knew that it would become a full grown tree if she didn't calm down. She had never told Jason about her powers, even when they were friends as children. She picked up the apple and lobbed it back at him. It flew towards him and then turned into a blossom as it landed at his feet. She silently cursed herself and hurried into the house before she could see his reaction.

Jason blinked at the apple and glanced back up at Andrea, raising an eyebrow but he frowned as her door slammed [censored]. He slid down the tree trunk and picked up the blossom. How did she...it didn't matter. He tried to set the thought into the back of his mind as he walked into his house. Immediately he was shoved into a wall by his older brother. "You never cleaned it up," his brother growled and immediately Jason clenched his fists, baring his teeth.
"I can't, not until you vacuum," he muttered.
"You vacuum it!" his brother yelled, shoving him into a wall again.
Jason's hands grew warm.
"You told me to clean up the mess I made, not your whole room!" Jason yelled back, dodging a blow from his brother.

Andrea plopped on her old leather couch with a thud. The thing was nearly falling apart and could barely support her anymore. A knock on the front door startled her. "I swear, if that's Jason here to confront me about that stupid blossom!" She said, getting up. She answered the door and two men drug her out of the house. They started hitting her and calling her stupid. She was weak by the time they had finished, and could not do anything but hyperventilate helplessly as they shoved her down the driveway. She looked towards Jason's house, but he was nowhere to be seen.

His brother shoved him face first into a wall. His brother was drunk, he knew that as blood spurted from his nose. His brother never would have let that happen otherwise. But despite that fact, his body flew into instinct. As his brothers fist flew towards his face, Jason spun around and let a ray of fire shoot from his hands. It hit his brother in the face and his brother screamed and wheeled back as the flesh of his cheek melted off his face . Jason's eyes widened in horror and he backed up quickly towards the door as Michael screamed, clawing at his face, tears falling freely out of his eyes. Jason ran. He opened the door jumped outside and slammed it. He looked at his hands. They were warm now. He shook his head and took off away from his house and into the street.

"Get in the car!" One of the men yelled as they kicked her in the back of the knee. A surge of power returned for a moment. When she utilised it, time seemed to slow down. A storm formed in the sky and the man who wasn't still holding onto her was struck by lightning.
"Do you want that to happen to you?" She hissed at the other man. Lightning struck within inches of his foot and he hopped away.
"How?" He asked, staring at her fearfully.
"Just leave me alone!!!" She yelled. She saw Jason running towards the street and yelled for him. A break in the clouds appeared and the man seemed to gain courage. He grabbed at her again. The man on the ground mumbled "Get the police" and then fell limp. She and the other man both knew that he was dead. The alive man looked at her and began to run. Seeing this, Andrea began to run in the other direction.

Jason stopped in his tracks and whirled around, just in time to see the man die. He felt his heart get lodged in his throat as he watched the man stare at her in fear then run away. Andrea had called for him...why? She began to run in his direction and he jumped in front of her and held her wrists. "Andrea, what is going on?" he asked panicked, looking behind her. "Who are they?"

Andrea struggled against Jason's strong grip. "I don't know!" She yelled. "They just appeared... they started beating me... I was just defending myself! The other man... he went to get the cops. Their going to lock me up! I need to go!" She wasn't strong enough to break his grip. "Please let me go," she sobbed. "I can't be caught! I don't want to be dissected!"

Jason's eyes widened with every word. Something was wrong... "I'm not letting you go, you need help" he muttered and he began to drag her away from the street, until they were behind a building. He forced her down onto her knees so he could try to relax her. "Andrea? Andrea!" he said, trying to break through her sobbing. "You have to tell me what happened!"

"I don't even know who they were. I just opened the door and there they were. I don't know what happened." She said, tears pouring down her face. "Don't let them take me. If they take me then I am as good as dead. The government... I don't even want to think about it. They hate freaks like me," she remembered who she was talking to and stopped sharply. "Thank you for calming me down. I must go now." She said, trying to stand.
