Megan followed him through, closing the door softly behind her. She looked around again then grabbed one of the cordless phones. "How quiet can you be?" She whispered.

"Very." Damon whispered.

Megan nodded. "You may have to stay here..." She looked over at the clock. It read 12:09am. Her eyes trailed to the staircase, then to the clock again.

"[censored]...." Damon growled. He wasn't exactly the guy to fit in a closet.

For the strangest reason...it was like she could read him. "Don't worry, you won't have to hide." She assured him.

Megan looked away from him, down at her hands. "Well, there's my room..."

Damon shook his head. "No way. You can't be crazy enough to invite a stranger in your house but not in your room."

Megan looked up at him, her hazel eyes piercing. "You'd rather be stranded outside?" She inquired.
