Jax walked down the darkened streets, he wore his hood up as to not be seen as he rushed to get to the park. He passed a black alley and shivered hoping no hunters were waiting in the shadows to pounce and kill like lion and his prey. He saw the park and ran swinging himself up on top of the large kids play structure and laying down on the roof folding his hands behind his head with a sigh and watching the stars as they moved slowly. He saw a shooting star and whispered "I know this isn't going to work but I wish one day I didn't have to live in fear..." before closing his eyes and rested till morning.

Stryder crept through the bushes watching Jax, he held a small dart gun filled with multiple doses of sedative. He planned to catch Jax and bring him back to headquarters for study but he had doubts. Jax was the only one who had gotten out of the building more than once. But he was going to try.

Carly sighed. "On the run once more." She muttered to herself, walking down the street. She didn't really have a home, her past would explain it, so every night she found somewhere new to stay. Sometimes in a tree, sometimes in somebody's shed. She looked around quickly, noticing nobody around, and used her power to levitate herself up into a tree near the park. For the most part she blended in with the darkness, her hair and clothes were usually black, but her skin was very white and was pretty noticeable.

Zack sat in his apartment. He knew he had to be patient when catching mutants, he heard rumors of two in the town already but knew he would need to wait until the right time came.

Jax heard a branch snap in a nearby tree but ignored it, if Tgey were to catch him he would just get out again. He had started to get used to it now and it had almost become a daily routine. Get up, run from scientist for tge day, go to bed hungry. It wasn't tge life for everyone but he was dealing with it. He decided to move on and jumped down landing on the rocks below with a thud and walking off to tge town again. He needed to get moving again, he couldn't stay in one place too long.

Stryder saw him walk away and snarled aiming the gun slowly pointing it at Jax shoulder. Him finger closed on the trigger and it fired just as Jax passed a tree. It hit the tree.

Jax heard the gun shot and started sprinting for cover darting in and out through the trees in the park hoping to throw off the hunters aim. He skidded under a slide and froze hoping he wouldn't be seen.

Carly froze when she heard somebody in the forest. "Hunter?" She growled to herself, seeing a shape under a slide. She used her power to levitate the man into the air and over to her, pushing him against the tree. "Who are you?" She growled to Jax, eyeing him carefully.

[Jericho]

Jax was in too much panic to relies what was happening. "Put me down Miss! Do you want to get killed?!" he whispered sharply looking around for the hunter. Then he froze relising what she was doing "Whoa what?!" he exclaimed then shifted quickly showing her what he was "I'm on your side!" he said after he shifted back.

Stryder crept out of the bushes to tge street giving up the hunt for tonight. He called a taxi on his beaten up phone and stood waiting for it.

Carly looked at him, quickly dropping him when he shifted, and backed up. She didn't know there were other mutants, she thought she was the only one. "Where did you come from?" She hissed, jumping down from the tree and slowing down her fall at the last second so she landed with a quiet rustle of leaves.
