Gavan had resorted to turning circles in place.
He had no idea where he was. The middle of a forest was obvious. Somewhere in the mountains was obvious. But where in those mountains? Where in the enormous, unending forest? He had no idea.
Therefore, he was turning in circles, trying to find something that looked familiar.
"Hello?" he called out. "Anybody there? I'm lost." He paused, waiting for a reponse. "Hello?"
He sighed deeply and sat down on the ground in the leaves, watching everything carefully. Surely there was someone around. There had to be. He wasn't really alone, was he?
Stupid banishment. He didn't even deserve it. He had been helping someone, hadn't he? It's not like he had done it just to be mean. He was a nice person. He didn't do things to be mean.
He started humming a soft little song that he liked. Music always made him feel better.

Maslow had been walking in the mountains for awhile now, living out her time as part of this "earth" in semi-peace, true she had been sent up here to kill mortals, she had taken herself a break for the last year or so, and had lived up here in the mountains. Enjoying the peacefulness it had to offer, there was nothing around for the most part, and everything seemed in it's place. She had made herself a camp in the under-hang of a cliff-like-cave. It was a good and comforting spot for her. Suddenly she heard a voice, and slightly narrowed her eyes, who would it be here that was yelling out like that? No mortals dare venture this far into the mountains, and she would have probably noticed them. She walked towards the sound, and soon saw the boy - an angel. What was an angel doing out here?! "What are you doing here?" Maslow asked, her voice was loud and almost demanding with an answer.

Gavan looked up when he heard someone speaking. He saw a girl nearby, looking angry and intimidating as she could. Gavan let out a sigh of relief and scrambled to his feet.
"I don't have a place to stay the night," he explained quickly. "I just sort of ended up here. I honestly don't know where I am, or where anything is. Could...could you help me out, maybe?"

Maslow wondered what was going through this idiots mind - he thought that he was going to instantly get help from her? Though he was an angel, or by the look of it, those morons didn't know right from left. "I could help you, though I don't think that I'm just going to help you without even knowing who you are, or what your intentions are." She snorted.

Gavan bit his lip. This girl seemed a little on edge with him. What did he do to her? Were all humans like this?
"I'm Gavan," he told her. "Reed. I, um... My parents...they kicked me out. Actually, they technically abandoned me here. So... I'm totally lost, and I have no idea where I am. I just need some help."

"Maslow." She snorted, as she looked at him. She never introduced herself as her first name, and she had given it up a long time ago. She looked at him with narrowed eyes, "fine. I can help, you." If his parents kicked him out, he couldn't have been an angel, maybe she was just sensing false things. This was a very stupid mortal. "You are in the mountains, north-west of the city." The city was a far ways away, though she figured thats where he had crawled from.

Gavan nodded. He breathed a sigh of relief when she told him where the town was. He ran a hand through his disheveled black hair, smiling.
"Thanks. Maslow," he added quickly. "Um... Is there like, a bed and breakfast, or something? A hotel? Possibly someone who would be willing to take me in...? I... I have no money."

Maslow actually did a facepalm when he said that, "no!" She snapped, she knew that she was a bit snappy, though clearly this was not a very bright person. "You're in the middle of the woods, clearly there isn't going to be anything like that." She snorted, while frowning at him. The best five star quality around here would be some kind of form of un-used den, or a cliff overhang," she looked at him with slightly narrowed eyes.

Gavan bit his lip and anxiously started wringing his hands. "I-I meant in they city," he mumbled. "But... I'm sure I could find a den. Or an overhang. Or something." No, you can't. "And...I dunno, I could hunt for food, I guess." Yeah, right. He glanced up at her and made a small, forced smile. "Thanks," he said quietly. "I really didn't know where I was. Like, at all."

"I knew that!" Maslow snapped when he spoke about the city, of course she hadn't though she didn't like to be wrong. "Yeah that's kinda what you have to do out here, Mr. Genius, we have to hunt and find dens." She was a demon, and so she could sometimes read emotions, so she could tell his un-sure-ness of the situation. "I still doubt you do."
