"That's the thing. I'm not sure. Last I heard of him was when he was leaving for a university in Asia. But that was years ago. No doubt he'll have graduated by now." She frowned, then abruptly changed the subject. "But enough about me. Now it's your turn to tell me something personal not at all my business."

"well. ive live on my own for years. i have no friends. and my life is pretty boring.

"Oh come on," she pouted. "Tell me something interesting, then. Like how you found your powers."

"Um. well. I got really mad and shifted into a wolf and attacked a kid at school. i was 12 then ran away. I found a wolf pack and acctually stayed with them for a while."

Shade whistled softly. "What did the kid do to anger you?" She asked.

"I dont really remember, it was so long ago."

She looked at him in disbelief, raising her eyebrows. Then she sighed and leaned back on the bench. The duck quacked some more, but she just shooed it back to the pond with the other waterbirds. "Ah well. Tell me when you remember, kay?" It wasn't a question. It was an order.

Richard nodded. He looked off in the distance to think.

Shade hummed a song as she watched the ducks. Then she pulled out a small metal ring, rubbing it with her forefinger and thumb. It crackled with electricity and she smiled.
