"Sometimes in life, I can't help but take sides."
"Sometimes in life, I can't help but take sides."
Shifting her gaze from Falcondive to Pinestar, the Queen closed her eyes for a moment. So much stress. For everyone. It's all my fault. I chose to believe in Freezetide, I chose to follow my heart, and where did it get me? Where did it get everyone? This Clan is starting to fall apart, and it's all my fault... she grimaced, claws sinking into her mossy bedding that rested beneath her. Letting out a sigh, Twistedfern looked up at her Clanmates. She could see the concern in her sister's eyes as she looked at her. "Pinestar, don't worry about me. I'm fine." she meowed reassuringly with a fake smile. But the gray-brown she-cat merely replied with a sigh. She was thinking about what she heard Freezetide say as she took her leave away from him. -Please tell her I'm sorry.- If he truly were sorry, then he wouldn't have done it. No. I won't pass along that message. He'll have to tell her himself. the leader decided, curling her tail uncomfortably around her paws. "I know." looking up at Falcondive, Pinestar sighed, "Keep an eye on her. She's due anytime now." she reminded quietly as she turned and stepped out of the den.

Watching with pleasure as his mother, Pinestar, practically told off her own Deputy, Eaglepaw smirked, sharp teeth glistening in the morning light. Stepping out of the Apprentice's den, the chocolate colored Tom acted as if he had never heard a single thing that had went down only moments ago. Instead, he padded carelessly towards his mentor, tail high and ears perked, "You look down." he noted teasingly, but remained oblivious to the entire situation. He was going to soak in all the entertainment he could while it lasted. And he was sure it was going to last for a while.
Sitting in front of Freezetide, Eaglepaw flicked his tail, cream socked paws set neatly in front of him as he looked up at the Deputy. Or more like, soon to be ex-Deputy with how things were going for him. This is great. It's only a matter of time before he's out of the picture. Then, I'll just have to play my cards right and become Deputy myself. And eventually, I'll lead this Clan the way it should be run: with an iron paw.
