Light could tell what Ryuzaki was most likely thinking. There was no doubt in his mind that he wasn't Kira, but how would he convince L and Near? He sighed. It was impossible.

L said to himself under his breath. ''I only hope that Kira doesn't ever learn about Wammy's."

"If you didn't want Kira to learn about Wammy's, why did you bring me here?" Light inquired.

[JDsalamander]

L looked at him. ''Because I'm not so sure what to think about this case anymore."

Light looked at him with understanding eyes.

"I understand. It must be so hard to find a killer out of everyone in the world."

"Yes...especially since he keeps creating new Kiras..." L replied, thinking.

Light breathed in.

"Sometimes I just think it would be easier for all of us if I was Kira. It would cut down on a lot of time. Until I came here, I was only concerned with my own personal safety. I never thought about you. What you must have gone through." Light tensed up. "I just feel so self-centered now."

L frowned, surprised.

Light sat back on the bed an exhaled. The chain jingled with Light's movement. He changed the subject.

"Ryuzaki, I've been thinking. Was this where you slept when you were little?"

L shook his head. "No, I'm an insomniac. I never sleep."
