Kendall blushed a bit and said, "Oh, it was nothing." She didn't want to tell him what she'd asked her, so sehe bit her lip and walked back to the stream, taking off er shoes and socks and putting her feet in the cool water.

richard thought he knew. he followed and sat beside her

Kendall smiled at the minnows in the water, swimming around her feet until they scattered as she wiggled her toes. "What?" she asked Richard, not making eye contact but watching the fish. She could sense he wanted to ask her something, but she hoped it wasn't about Annabelle's words.

"hmm." richard had been lost in thought. "oh. i was just thinking."

Kendall's thoughts went else where. "Oh, okay," she said calmly. She shot her hand into the stream and looked at the minnow she'd caught before placing it back into the water. "Sorry, but I'd just rather not share what Annabelle had asked me..."

"thats ok. i understand, though i think i have an idea."

Kendall froze. "You do? I mean, what do you think it was. Er, no wait...what'd you think Annabelle meant?" she had a faint blush on her face as she looked away from him and down t the fishes again.

"i thought you didnt want me to know?" richard smirked

"Well I want to know what you thought she said," Kendall mumbled, worried a bit. She didn't want Richard to go; even though she'd known him for about ten minutes, he was the only guy, or person for the matter, she'd spoken to in quite a while.
