In the small town of Magnolia, Illinois, there is a surprisingly low amount of people: only around 300. All of these people have gifts: odd gifts, but gifts nonetheless. Nearly all have angel blood -- they're a small village of Nephilim, if you will. There's an Institute, where the younger ones between thirteen and nineteen train, but since demons are few and far between, the law of training isn't strictly enforced. Life is pleasantly lazy, so there's plenty of time for dating and romance. That doesn't stop the teenagers, though; not at all.

Raeleigh doesn't have many peircings or tattoos. She just has a double peircing in her ears and a small silver stud for her nose, though she usually doesn't even wear it. She is planning on getting a tattoo sooner or later, but has been too lazy to actually go out and do it. Her tattoo would be a small dreamcatcher just below the base of her neck, a bit above her shoulder blades.

Raeleigh is one of those people that can act one way to one person, a completely different way to another. She is very opinionated and picky, and can immediately come off as a snot who cares about nobody but herself. But, if you knew her, you'd think the complete opposite.

Admittedly, Raeleigh has a very dry, crude sence of humor, but that's just her outer shell. That whole, "I'm a chill beast who doesn't give a flying fart in space about anything anybody says about me" personality? Mostly bravado. When she was younger, Rae was trying out many different personas to see which one would fit her best. The 'tough-girl' act stuck, so that was how she built herself up. Truthfully, Raeleigh is a relaxed, go with the flow kind of girl. She is pretty friendly and enjoys having company, whether it's going out to the movies to a day at the nearest lake.

A side of her that few get to see is her angry side. When Rae gets mad, she gets mad. She is a major grudge holder, and isn't afraid to get in somebody's face. Before all the yelling, though, she gives the guilty party the silent treatment. When they finally ask what they did wrong, she explodes like the 4th of July. Raeleigh knows that this is a horrid habit, bit it's apart of who she is.

But, luckily, the mad side of Rae is rarely ever showcased. Instead, she's just your pyro, bubbly spaz that loves to laugh and eat. Raeleigh has a passion for food, and for fire. Her all time favorite thing during the summer is a big bonfire on the beach with all her friends. In some way or another, Rae could find some way to surprise you.

Rae has your usual 'I didn't know I was a Shadowhunter' story. She was found by a couple of 'hunters after her parents were killed by deamons and trained until she was a pretty good Shadowhunter herself.

Leah is a small girl with a big personality. She is very hyperactive and loud, and is always wanting to have fun. Her default mode is still very active and happy-go-lucky, even when she's ready to crash. She doesn't look at life too seriously, even when it involves something to do with an important decision, and is very free-spirited.

Leah can be vicious when she's angered. Strong language and hand gestures are often used, as well as a dirty expression. Anything could anger her; maybe somebody accidentally spilt their coffee on her, or maybe somebody dissed her friends. Whatever the case, be sure to steer clear of Hurricane Leah, because there's bound to be destruction.

Leah is wild at heart and has a bad-ass attitude. She believes that she's better then anybody else at everything, and won't believe otherwise. The word 'fear' means virtually nothing to her; in fact, she acts as if it isn't in her vocabulary. She can be pretty informative and is only real friendly with people she knows and cares about. Leah can be a complete party animal, and, quite often actually, can get pretty drunk. Though she'd never mention I out of pure embarrassment, her brother had to come and peel her off of the sidewalk a few times. Leah is trying to turn herself around after her most recent tirade, where she had woken up on somebody's lawn. As perfect as she may think she is, Leah has many, many flaws.

Nick is a total flirt. He's been known to party and be really suggestive around girls; in reality, he's hardly seen without at least one at his side. He usually has a great sense of humor, if not a little dirty, when need be. Quite arrogant and cocky, and has been called a douche plenty of times. If he's ever found a girl he likes, which has only happened once, he's usually really hands-on and protective of her, not to mention a huge softy. To most, including a majority of his friends, an overly-social and overly-popular jackass is what he is, lovable or otherwise. He can change his attitude and behaviour around certain people, which is part of the reason why he's so sociable with everyone. ..Literally, he talks with anyone and everyone he meets.

Nick was born and raised in Magnolia, and surprisingly enough, he's never gotten sick of the town. He's seen his share of big cities, sure, but he has a good sense of home built into the small Illinois town. It's partially because his parents, and really his whole family, tend to flock together. He comes from a lineage that have gone through plenty of losses, and have become close-knit and full of 'family values' so to say.

Scarlett is a girl that lives by the motto "go big or go home." Everything about her is, simply said, big. Her smile, her personality, her height, her heart.. Her expectations.

Scarlett is known to be, shall we say, a perfectionist. She has a creative mind, and is much of a daydreamer. When you combine these two traits, you get standards for guys and friends alike. She's picky with everything, but food; Scarlett can and will eat anything you put on her plate. Scarlett is quite laid back and open about everything, and isn't anywhere near afraid of giving her opinion.

Above all the complexity that is and isn't Scarlett, she's pretty bubbly and talkative. She could hold a conversation with anyone, at any time. Behind her bravado and excitement, though, their lies a side of her that wishes she could run away, live a different life. She's always wanted to live in France or England, although she'd never share anything about her wishes to get away with anyone. There's a deeper side of her just waiting to be cracked open.

One word to describe Ronnie is friendly. He has a good temperament and is very sweet, and easily can make friends. He is always wanting to be in on all the action and tends to get up in other people's business, even when he isn't wanted. Ronnie is funny and quite sarcastic, though he always checks to see if the person he is talking to takes his words to heart. He hates to see anybody cry, and doesn't fancy crying in public himself.

What some people don't know about him is that Ronnie can get his feelings hurt easily. He tends to lash out when he feels attacked, hurting somebody with his words in the process. This leaves him feeling terrible and willing to grovel at the victim's feet, begging for forgiveness. He is also very protective of his sister, Leah. She's made it clear that she can take care of herself, but he'll always be there when she needs him.

Ronnie is an overall sweet-hearted, good natured guy who will always be there to support or help out a friend. Heck, he'd be there for a stranger if he was wanted. Always with a smile, Ronnie is trustworthy and will always be there to catch you when you're about to fall flat on your face.

The easiest way to describe Oliver is to say that he's neutral. Usually mellow, always the calm, intelligent go-to guy. He's really quite friendly and sociable, pretty patient most times as well as a good listener.

On the few instances that Oliver gets mad, you'd better hide for cover. If something had made him mad, it hasn't just made him mad, it's made him flat out enraged. He'll usually take it out physically, not necessarily on another person, but he'll have to break something, or scream for a while. Another way he vents is through running, something that calms him immensely.

Oliver keeps a shield on his emotions, but not nearly as strong enough of one as he would like. Not matter how tough he attempts to be, he'll always be a sensitive romantic type. A complete soft teddy bear is what he is. And as cheesy as it may seem, he's got a heart of gold.
