Lance took a helpless glance at Azlyn, hoping she'd get the message that something was wrong. That only gained him a sharp slap on his desk from his teacher with a yardstick, which jolted him awake as he eagerly looked at the clock at unintentional 2 minute intervals.

Azlyn caught Lance's glance, but she didn't see his face long enough to catch the worry painted across his face. She raised her hand, answering a simple question.

As the class neared the 10-minutes-of-pointless-blabber-left mark, Lance gave up all hope on scanning the classroom to see if anyone was staring at him, trying to gain a clue as to who sent this message. He answered a question, gaining a smile from the teacher. But it was more like a grimace, because he'd called out the answer unintentionally.

Azlyn held in a bit of a laugh at Lance. It was odd that be was so off, usually he would raise his hand. Azlyn watched him, trying to see if something was wrong.

The class would be over in two more minutes. Lance ticked off the seconds in his mind, packing up his books half-heartedly, not paying attention that he'd just put his science homework into his health binder. Sighing, he took a seat and tried to catch Azlyn's eyes before the period ended and school was let out, the same hopeless look plastered onto his face.

Azlyn had her head down, putting a book in her bag. She lifted it, feelin someone's eyes on her. She saw Lance looking at her, a helpless look on his face. She lifted an eyebrow, wondering what was wrong.

Lance was about to mouth the words Wait for me, but the bell beat him to it. Jolting out of his seat and hitting his knee again, he grimaced and limped to Azlyn's seat where she was getting up. "Wait," he said, his face serious as he pulled out his phone. "Look at this text. I don't know who it's from and I'm worried." He handed her the phone warily.

Azlyn took the phone slowly and read the message. She looked back at Lance, eyes wide. "When did you get this message?" she asked, her voice soft and quiet, not wanting to sound panicked.

"Just before this class started," Lance responded, his voice hushed but firm, low but serious. "Honestly. I've been trying to catch your eye for the whole period, but I think I only managed once. This is an issue though. What should we do?" He looked around the room, making sure it was empty of everyone but their teacher, who really couldn't care less what they did after school. "Do we just play it cool until the sender comes clean?"

Azlyn nodded. "I think that we should just act normal. Making a deal out of this would be a problem, and there's a possibility the sender will never come clean." She shrugged, putting her hands in her pockets. "It could be a prank, but that would be a pretty serious prank."
