Lance bought a bagel with cream cheese and sat down at his all-alone table. It was always a bit lonely to him, except when Matt came to talk to him for a few minutes, but he really didn't care. It wasn't like Lance had too many friends to begin with at the school, and after the incedent at the party, it didn't seem like he'd made many more.

Azlyn watched Lance out of the corner of her eye. "I'll be right back," she muttered to Jasey and got up from the table. She walked over to Lance and sat across from him. "Hey," she said, flipping her hair out of her eyes.

Lance looked up as Azlyn joined him at his table. "Hi," he said simply, raising his head to fully look at Azlyn as he ate his bagel. "What brings you to the land of the loners here? Have you heard anything or been confronted about the party?"

"I actually did hear a few people talking about it, but nothing that concerns us," Azlyn said, shrugging. She leaned back and made a disgusted face. "Is that actually good?" she asked, motioning to his bagel.

"Good to hear," Lance said, nodding, thrilled that no one was talking about their 'incident'. "And yeah, I enjoy it. But you wouldn't. As you said, you can't eat human food..." He trailed off, thinking about how repulsive it would be to eat a soul. He loved looking into the good of people, and that was in their soul, no matter how bad they came off on the outside. Lance thought everyone had some good in them, no matter the amount of bad in them. And eating their soul, well, that was just disgusting to him.\

"Doesn't look very appetizing to me," Azlyn said, frowning. "Not like it matters, it all tastes like water anyway," she said, looking off to the side. She could feel Jasey's eyes boring into her back, but she just ignored it. She rested her chin on her hand and tapped her finger tips on her jaw. "Doesn't this ever get boring for you, sitting all alone all the time?"

"Not really," Lance said with a shrug, contently chewing his bagel with cream cheese. "I mean, I never had many friends to begin with, so I guess I got used to it. Matt sits here sometimes, but only if his other friends are cutting school that day. So really, it's just normal, not boring, not exciting."

A grin cracked across Azlyn's face. "Do you talk to yourself, like have conversations with yourself so you don't get lonely?"

"What do you think I am, a schizophrenic?" Lance asked, his expression incredulous. "No! I normally just zone out and read. Seriously."

"Honestly?" Azlyn asked, her face mock-horror. "No wonder you looked so lost at that party." She shook her head sadly. "No socializing skills for you, I see."
