The bell for homeroom to end rang and Lance jolted out of his set, eager to go to his next class and get away form as many groups of kids as possible. He wanted to get this year over with as little talk of the part incedent as possible, but he knew that wasn't possible. He already heard people talking about it as he passed groups in the hallways gossiping. Luckily though, none were pointing at him as he passed, which was a good sign.

Azlyn got up slowly at the bell, walking out of the class to her next one. She tried to act normal as possible, and even managed to carry out an actual conversation with Jasey. She walked into her next class, a few seconds late. She shot her teacher a sorry look and took her seat.

(( I'm putting Lance in her second pd. class. I forgot if he was before, so I guess it'll always keep changing ^_^" ))

Lance realized he had to go to the library to pick up a binder he'd left there over the weekend. The librarians, who knew him very well, had left a message on his house phone telling him when he could pick it up. Making it to the library just as the bell rang, he chatted with a librarian as another went to fetch his binder. Lance thanked them and walked into class a few minutes, Mrs. Kalder taking the pass and smiling at Lance as he walked to his seat. He could just picture her thoughts: "Oh, what a good little kid,", he thought she was thinking. Taking out his do now sheet, he completed it while attendance was being edited.

Azlyn rolled her eyes and snorted as Lance walked in, a note with him. He is a bit perfect, she thought to herself. She cleared her throat lightly and leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms over her chest. She listened to her teacher drone on and on about nothing.

Lance picked up his pen and began scrawling notes, glancing up and down from his looseleaf paper as Mrs. Kalder went from slide to slide in the power point she'd created for the lesson. Lance loved the way Mrs. Kalder taught; it was strict as in having to copy down a lot, but free in the way you could organize yourself. Lance's scratchy penmanship made a slight scratch noise as he wrote some letters, the pen scraping the desk through the paper on occasion.

Azlyn quickly wrote down the notes, her cursive flowing effortlessly. She sighed and glanced at the clock, waiting for the class period to end.

Mrs. Kalder let the class pack up a few minutes early, but Lance took his time. He kept glancing at the clock though, wanting the seconds hand to tick faster so he could get out sooner. Her didn't want to arouse suspicion about the party, but he really was worried about being around too many of the same kids for long periods. He didn't want to get recognized, and it was good he'd been under the radar from the start of his schooling life.

Azlyn quickly packed up and walked over to Jasey and quickly filled her in on what had happened between her and Lance. Jasey rolled her eyes, but didn't say anything. Azlyn glanced at the clock. One more minute.

Lance's eyes scanned the room, and at the last moment they landed on Azlyn and her friend Jasey having a conversation. Thinking it was about no more than a rumor they'd both heard, Lance left it alone. The bell rang and he yelped in pain as he jumped from his desk, slamming his knee into the bottom of it as he jolted. "Dammit," he cursed under his breath as he hobbled to his next class.

Azlyn rushed to her next class, setting her things down in the back. She tugged the sleeves of her sweater down so that they covered most of her hands. She walked back out into the hall, humming a song to herself.
