Rayne nodded, gripping onto her lug a little tighter. "I think I'm gonna a bigger bandage." He whispered with the weakest of smiles. He rested his head against her knee and closed his eyes. He was thinking. Maybe a little crazy at the moment. Especially considering he was begging her to stay here with him. That was pretty strange.

Sage managed to smile a little. What made Rayne different from the others? Even when she bit her ex-boyfriend, who loved her at the time, he still told her to leave and to never talk to him again, but in his own words. This troubled Sage. 'Why is Rayne different from the others?' she repeated the question again to herself. "You'll be better by tomarrow, after you rest," she told him quietly.

Rayne shook his head slowly. "Okay." He whispered, shutting his eyes again. "Does that mean I should just sleep here until morning? Can you please stay with me? I-I really don't want to be all alone at night. Ca-Caves scare me. The forest scares me. It does...I hate bugs and plants. They scare me Sage."

Sage bit her lip before nodding slowly. "Yeah, I'll stay with you," she said. 'He should be afraid of me, not all those things that he named off. I'm a million times more scary than those things...' she thought. She looked down at him, her expression normal, but her eyes were sad.

Sage nodded as she sat down on the ground facing Rayne. "I won't leave you Rayne," she said quietly. "I-I don't have a lot of stories..." she said as she thought about possible stories, but came up short. She reached out towards Rayne her fingertips brushing his cheek. "I won't leave you, I promise," she said as she looked into his eyes.

Sage nodded. "Yes, I have been, and I still am," she said. "I'm afraid of a lot of things just because of my past." All the past memories of the things that scarred her for life played in her mind fast. She blinked those thoughts away. "It's normal to be afraid of things based o n past experiences," she said, not wanting him to feel any worse than he already was.

Rayne nodded, curling up into a tight ball. "I feel....Lightheaded." He whispered. When he opened his eyes they seemed to droop. He was tired, for sure. "Sometimes...I really hope for the best...But I never get it. I hope that when I wake up next...This will just be a dream."

"Rest Rayne. I won't leave...and I'll make sure nothing else happens to you," she said. She looked at him sadly. "Yeah, I wish it was a nightmare too," she whispered as she looked down at the ground. She just wanted to wake up in the cabin, startled from the nightmare. She wanted to see Rayne perfectly fine and unwounded, sleeping peacefully in the other bed. She wanted to keep her secret a secret. But she knew, that was never going to happen.
