Wayne slid down the wall, weak from loss of blood. His hand went up to his neck and he screamed. Over and over and over again. Those noises. "What the he-..." He trailed off, gasping for breathe, his body heaving over. "What the heck is wrong with you." He whimpered, rolling onto his side. He could feel the blood dripping between his fingers. "Help!" He yelled. "God help me please!" He screamed, his voice wavering as he spoke. "Please!!! God help me..."

Each scream caused Sage to wince and another couple tears fall from her face. Her secret...exposed. The one thing that she didn't want to happen... happened. She scooted father away until she was on the opposite side of the cave, her back pressed hard against the wall, her knees pulled up to her chest. 'I didn't want any of this...I didn't want to become a monster. Why. Why did this have to happen!' she thought. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she faced the truth. "I'm a monster, that's what's wrong with me," she said quietly. She looked down at the ground and another tear fell, wetting the Earth.

Taunt looked at her from across the cave. He had pulled himself to his knees and had wrapped an arm around his stomach, coughing like if h*ll were in his chest. "Why did you do that...? Why would you try to hurt me?"

She didn't look up at him. "I didn't mean to. That's why I ran away in the forest. I was tempted to at that very moment, but I resisted that urge and ran. I didn't want this to happen..." she took a deep, shaky breath. Her voice still remained quiet and never changed in tone or volume. It stayed that quiet, shaky voice. "I couldn't hold it back any longer. The darkness took over me as soon as you fell. I despise myself every time I let that happen. You don't know what it's like feeling the fear of the victum race through your body, and know that it's you causing it. You don't know what it's like to be afraid to ever come close to anyone, because you know, once little accident and they could die in the palm of your hand. You don't know what it's like to fear yourself," her voice rose with each sentence. She took another deep breath as she caught herself and calmed down. "I never wanted any of this to happen," she said her voice quiet again.

Rayne shook her head. "Just kill me..." He whispered. "Just stab me through the heart and make me bleed to death! Do it now!" He yelled, still grasping at his neck. "Oh please just kill me..." He rasped. "It hurts...Like fire. Oh it's painful. Take it away! Take it away...please."

"No!" Sage's response was almost as if it was an instinct. "I'm not going to kill you Rayne! I didn't even want to bite you, let alone kill you!" She used the wall as a support as she stood up, her hands still tembling. "Not to sound rude or anything but that's what I have to go through every d*mn two weeks." She calmed herself again by closing her eyes and taking a few breaths. "I'm not going to kill you Rayne," she said softly. "I'm not."

Rayne seemed to almost cry. Sobs starting to come out of his mouth. "Please...I just want to die. You're scaring me Sage." He cried. "You are scaring me so much....So very much Sage. Please...Stop it. Please. You're scary."

His words were like knives stabbing into her back. "I don't know who I am anymore to be honest with you. It's good for you to be scared of me...I'm not one you want to be with." Her voice was just above a whisper. "I know whatever I do will not make you forgive me, not matter how many times I apologize. I understand, it's not like this is the first time I bit someone," she said the last part so quietly that even she could barely hear it. "It's best if I just leave your life...really." Her tears started up again as she faced the cold hard truth. "i-it was nice getting to know you and I mean it when I say I'm sorry for causing you all this pain and for making you afraid. I was hoping this wouldn't happen, I thought you'd make an excellent roommate and navigator," she looked at him for the first time in a while and smiled a sad, depressed smile. With that, the smile faded as she turned away and used the rest of her strength to start walking out of the cave slowly. "Goodbye Rayne..." she whispered.

Rayne looked at her, pulling himself up onto his feet. He dropped his hand down from his neck and before she could run away, he grabbed her wrist, although from standing he started to feel a little lightheaded. "You're a vampire." He whispered. He stood in front of her now, blinking away tears from the still throbbing pain. In that few seconds he was still able to stand, he brushed his lips against hers and as he fell to his knees again he held onto her leg, like a child. "Don't leave me here alone. Please."

She froze in my place as soon as he grabbed her wrist. She blinked, suprised by his actions. The last time she bit someone, they dind't even bother to try to keep her to stay, instead they actually pleaded for her to leave when she tried helping. She looked at him in the eyes when he said those dreaded three words. Her eyes widened in absolute shock when their lips brushed together. She looked down at Rayne. "I-I won't leave, if that's what you want. I-I promise I won't," she whispered.
