There was the noise of hooves, and suddenly the boys appeared. They didn't look normal, they looked like a band of thieves. Each wore black with a mask over their mouth and nose, all you could see were their eyes and hair. They surrounded the small group, their horses making the circle and blocking escape. Andrew was among them on his large black mare "Name your business here," said Andrew

Rashel swore under her breath before lowering her tone of voice so it was manlier. She made a small motion behind her back, ordering her group to be silent. "My business is not of you concern," she growled dangerously.

There was a laugh from the boys "I highly doubt that! Charlie," said Andrew and a boy came down and walked steadily up to the princess. "Show your face," he ordered.

Rashel, not to be ordered around, reached into her boot and produced the blade. "Don't take another step," she growled, her voice still guttural. Her band also produced their blades, though none were as intricately made as hers. She had found hers on the corpse of a man murdered for stealing.

Andrew dismounted "Get the others,I`l deal with this one" he said as he took out his sword. It was strange. It was long and thin, the kind you think you could snap in half if you wanted to. The hilt had a strange pattern on it, and there were words going down the centre of the blade. None of the other boys had swords, but they really didn`t need them.

"You ready for a fight, men?" she asked as she glanced at her men. A musical, lilting laugh came from her mouth, and she readied herself, adapting a fighters stance. The only part of her face that was visible was her mouth, which was showing a sly grin. Blonde hair was carefully tucked into her shirt so it wasnt visible to anyone. Her blade gleamed in the light, revealing the words “Proditio est ultimum peccatum. Deceptio telum est ultimum” carved into the luminous silver metal. A jagged cut ran from above her eye to her chin from running from her father the previous day. It burned mildly, but she ignored it. Nothing could break her determination at this point.

The boys glanced at each other then dis mounted from their horses. Half of the boys were bigger then them, and they didn`t even bother with weapons as they charged. They ripped swords out of sweaty grips, and punched their way around with ease. Andrew was using the same tactic, he stood still for one moment, then threw his sword on the ground and jumped at the princess. After a few minutes of fighting the boys all caught sound of coices and the bark of dogs "Their up, comeon," they whispered loudly and ped to their horses. Andrew was about to when the moon came out from under a cloud, showing Rasthe`s face clearly. He froze, staring into her eyes for a second before he got on his horse and fled

Rashel panted, blood dripping down her face from a cut in her scalp left from the guys who jumped her. She spat a mouthful of blood and quickly rounded her men, grabbing her blade-one of the few left-and melted into the shadows once again. He saw me. How could I be so careless? She and her men jumped into a tree, their scent masked by the creek they ran through. "Everyone alright?" she murmured, looking at them carefully. A split lip was the only wound on all of them that was noticable. Rashel had taken the worst of it all. What am I going to tell my mother if she sees? Father will have a kanipshin fit if he were to see all my wounds.

Andrew and the boys took off at a gallop, but within minutes they had dogs at their trail. "You go on ahead, get the things to the willages," he said. Without waiting for a response he slowed his horse down. The other continued on, and came across Rasthel and her group. Without stopping they grabbed a member, swinging them onto the horses, Charlie got Rasthel "Hold on princess" he said as they jumped over the creek, the horses reaching out as far as they could with their legs.

Rashel sighed, not fighting this time. She was starting to get used to the midnight escapades that usually ended up with her being caught and driven back to the castle. She breathed slowly, bringing a hand up and gently probing her wound. She winced when she hit it, not expecting it to be as large as it was. Perhaps I can get to the healer before anyone notices. She tenderly felt her lips, checking the wounds there as well. They weren't bad. Nothing for her to worry about.
