Kahlen smiled at him not saying anything, she got to her feet and grabbed her pack which was now across the field from where the gar had first attacked.

richard followed suit. shouldering the pack on his uninjured arm

Kahlen looked at is injured arm once more before heading down the Kington trail a couple feet behind Richard checking every so often if they were being followed.

richard continued on the trail. "be careful. the area ahead is a little tricky to navigate."

Kahlen nodded delicately picking her way down the trail, being sure to avoid most of the rocks and branches that littered the ground.

richard looked over his shoulder every now and then to be sure kahlen was ok. he had hiked this trail many times and new how easy it was to slip and fall.

Kahlen stuck to the easier part of the trail, glad her boots were perfect for the terrain. "Do you travel like this often?" she asked making conversation

richard was not paying attention when he tripped and fell. he managed to grab a tree and spin around it but smalled into it.

"Are you alright?" Kahlen asked concerned and made her way over to him and offered him her hand.
