(I swear the halloween banner is attracted to this thread. Everytime I come to post it's there!
I have to ask, did you base Caligular's name on the roman emperor Caligula? The best bit is, Caligula was also known as Gaius when he was alive XD)

He has a point. I have trusted him for the last three years. Why should that change now? Arthur thought as Merlin ran off. He ran after him, still thinking about the fact his servant was a sorcerer. All those times I got knocked out and Merlin said I had beaten the source, maybe he beat them. I bet that's true for that dragon, I probably didn't even scratch it! If Merlin lt that thing live, though, I'm going to have to have some words with him. That thing almost destroyed Camelot! Soon he came to Gaius's quarters, where he guessed Merlin was.

"Where did you get all these books from, Merlin?" Arthur asked as he saw what he was reading, "I've checked these rooms hundreds of times and I never found anything! You know, that explains why you were always so nervous when I came in here to do a check. I did wonder, but I guessed it was because you were scared of the king."

Anne walked in behind Arthur pushing him out of the way "Move away Arthur, sorcerers at work here," she said with a laugh. She and Merlin cleared a table, then started arranging tubes and pots on it. Merlin read something to her from a book in a different language. She nodded quickly and they both walked around the room collecting ingrediants. Herbs, potions etc. They put them on the table. "Dont touch anything or you will get you hand snapped off" warned Merlin. Anne started to chop and mix while Merlin continued to read from the book.

(I dont know. I remember reading that name somewhere. And when I was thinkingof a name for an evil wizard Calibualr came ro mind)

Arthur eyed the table nervously, wondering if his hand would really be snapped off if he touched something. You can never trust magic, he reminded himself over and over in his head. Arthur didn't care that he trusted Merlin, he did not trust magic at all. "What are you doing?" he asked. He wanted to know everything that Merlin was doing so he could make sure it wasn't going to hurt anyone.

Merlin stepped back as a large puff of green smoke popped up from the tub "Mixing a potion. Every great wizard has a weak spot. Like immortality. If you are immortal then you have to have a spot that is not immortal" explained Merlin. Anne was reading through the book, whispering under her breath as she recited the milion tangled words on the pages.

"And this potion lets you find out where that spot it?" Arthur asked, amazed at the whole thing. He never knew magic could do that. Arthur had beeen left to believe that all magic was evil and did evil things. "Is there any chance we can get one of those and use it n Morgana?" he asked. If we can find her weakness she'll be easier to get rid of, and the kingdom won't need to fear her anymore. It's the best I can do for them, seeing as they all suffered under her rule.

Merlin shook her head "Morgana isn't the same. there are strong bonds between you and Morgana. Yes she is evil but you still love her. It's all very complicated," said Merlin. Anne's eyes were starting to turn yellow, and her voice was getting louder. It seemed she wasn't taking a breath, even though she had been chanting things for over six minutes. Merlin stepped back, "Careful, put something over your mouth," said Merlin. There was a pause before suddenly the whole room was filled with pink smoke. It quickly dissolved, and in the middle of the table was a tiny jar or green liquid.

Arthur frowned. He didn't love Morgana, not after everything she had done to him, his father, and the people of Camelot! He was about to voice this opinion, but Merlin's warning to cover his mouth came out first. He quickly pulled his shirt up over his mouth and squeezed his eyes shut. When he opened them again everything was clear. "Is that it?" Arthur asked, looking argue tiny jar, "I doesn't look like much."

Merlin shook his head "Put that on the point of an arrow and shoot him, ebem a scratch will kill him instantly" said Merlin. Anne grinned "Why dont wetest it on Arthur since he seems to think it wont work" said Anne. Merlin picked it up gently andheld it in between his finger and thumb. Then they descened towards the door.

"Yeah, I would prefer it if you didn't." Arthur shot back at Anne. Now he knew she was a sorcerer he barely trusted her at all. Merlin was different because, as the servant had pointed out before, Arthur had known and depended on him for years. Anne was just some princess who happened to be in Camelot. Bit of a dangerous thing to do if she knew she had magic, Arthur thought, if father had found out she would have been executed, princess or not. He followed Merlin and Anne as they started to walk away.

Down at the court yard Merlin was dipping Anne's arrows into the liquid, "We'll distract him, while you shoot. It's best to get up to a high place so he doesn't see the arrow," said Merlin, handing them back to her. Anne nodded
"I'll be up at the bell tower," she said before running out the gate. Merlin went to the opposite gate, where you could hear screaming and crashes,"We have to distract him so Anne can shoot him with an arrow," explained Merlin as he ran through the gates, right towards the evil sorcerer.
