The water monkey howled as it flipped backwards landing on it's back stuggling to get back up. "Water gun!" Cress called out thinking that he might actually loose this battle.

Sparky grinned when the Panpour flew back. He could tell that the monkey was getting weak, and he was too. Lexi wondered why he was using water moves. Normal moves would work better on an electric pokemon. The water gun hit Sparky in the face and he fell back. He slowly stood up, growing weaker with every hit. "Thundershock again!" Lexi said and Sparky did just that.

The water monkey twitched in the air a it was shocked before falling back and lying on the ground. It laid there twitching every once in a while before it got enough strength to get back up. Cress sighed and he knew that if his small pokemon took one more hit, the estemed gym leader would lose his first battle in a while. "Lick!" The bluette called as the water pokemondashed forward

Sparky grinned again as he got closer to his victory. They were going to beat their first gym leader! He frowned when it stood back up. He was sure that the Panpour would faint any minute now. Sparky's eyes grew wide and he had a weird look on his face after the lick. He was paralyzed! But, they were so close to winning the battle. Sparky had to pull through one more attack! Lexi wasn't giving up though. She was determined to win. One more thunder-shock, Sparky! She called out and it took the Pichu a few seconds to snap back into reality. He nodded and his cheeks began to spark. He sent a lightning bolt at the Panpour with great strength. He didn't think that the Panpour was going to live through this!

There was a big boom and a cloud of smoke after the thunderbolt hit the water pokemon. The swish of a flag and then the call of the ref "Panpour is unable to battle Pichu wins!" "Wooooo! Go Lexi!" "Alright Sparky Good job little guy!" Their fans in the stand called

Sparky smirked, blowing the tuft of fur on his head out of the way. Most Pichu's didn't have that but he did. He grinned, showing his teeth as Lexi ran over to pick him up and praise him. You did great, Sparky! She hugged him close and set him down. There was a bright light from where he was standing and she jumped. What was happening? After about 20 seconds, the light went away and there was no longer a Pichu there. There was a big, yellow Pikachu there with the same tuft of fur on the top of his head. Lexi smiled wide and ran over to hug him again. Sparky! You evolved!

"Holy cow Lexi you're so lucky!" Kyo said racing in to hug the winner. He had known that she was going to win, because come on it's a water vs electric! He hugged her tightly before giving her a warm smile. He was so happy that she had gotten the badge. "What an excelent battle... I havent had one like that in a while, You definatly deserve the trio badge." Cillan said as he walked up the badge in his hand.
