Jason had pretty much given up on fighting those guards now. He'd only managed to give that bracelet back to who it belonged too. Sure he could have kept it, but since those guards had been on his heals since who knows when, he had no choice. He even felt a bit relieved that he had managed to give Sawyer her bracelet back. "I'm sorry..." he muttered his tone becoming more and more annoyed as the guards began to tug had him. He was sorry for something he wasn't sure of. He figured he was probably just sorry that the poor girl had to meet someone like him. He wasn't the most likable person by authorities. As he looked down, his eyes shaded over slightly by his hair, before he was tugged again. This was getting rather annoying.

"Stop that dammit!" he snapped at a guard tugging at his arm, before he trashed his arms slightly. As he snapped at the guard, he shot his head up, his blue eyes looking to Sawyer, for a moment, as the bit of rage in those eyes reflected as he pulled his arm again. He was confused, he was angry, he was pissed off enough already, and now these damn guards were trying to rip his arms out.

Finally he simply just tried to loosen himself, even though his entire body was tense at the moment. Who wouldn't be agitated in a situation like this. He dropped his gaze, as the guards began to back away, with his arms still gripped by the two others. Two more guards came from the side trying to push him back, and this was agitating enough already, as he groaned, angrily, and tried thrashing his shoulders. Another guard came from in front of him, as he staggered backwards and thrashed his elbows. He just wished that he could just close his eyes and have all this go away.

Finally he let out a deep sigh, feeling as if he would just fall back from the thought at the moment.

Something about the fact that Jason had apologized made her feel terrible, for he was apologizing for something that had been her fault. She wanted to say it wasn't his fault, but she knew that if it came down to it her father would call for a guard to drag her back upstairs, so she stayed silent, an expression of sympathy evident in her faint smile and eyes.

As he snapped at the guards though something worried her even more, and it was that she began to realize a connection with who Jason really was. She didn't let it register though, for she found her gaze meeting his once more for a moment. She just wished she could get her father to just let him go back to his life. But of course, it would never be that simple with her father.

As Jason struggled more, she glanced up at her father once more, an expression of both embarrassment and anger evident upon her face, and she sighed a tad to echo his, and she stood, almost defeated. "Will you at least give him a fair chance Father? If nothing else, would you mind letting him stand on his own? I'm sure he can handle that much!"

"Don't defend this man Sawyer. You know nothing about him."
She gave yet another tweaked smirk in response to this, realizing how true it was.

Jason's eyes shot up at what Sawyer said next. Was she defending him? That was new. He almost went limp after that. Forget all the guards, forget all this crap, forget the whole thing. Now he didn't know what to think of this. One side was the father, from what he had heard, who was yelling his guts out angrily, then there were these annoying guards who wouldn't stop being pricks, then there was this girl who was defending him? That part shocked him a little, though he brushed it off.

Then again he thought, she really didn't know him. She didn't know how many times he'd been caught for stupid things. Sighing once more he groaned as the guard on his left side pulled his arm viciously. This had reached the top with him. He was sick and tired of those annoying guards, thinking they were great. Thrashing his left elbow he jabbed the guard in the side without knowing, and then regretted ever thrashing his arm. The guard let out a little yell of frustration before the guard on his right side did not release his grip whatsoever.

Sinking back he gritted his teeth as the guard to his left snapped and grabbed his arm with a pulling force. For a second he could have been certain those idiots wanted to rip his arms out for sure. Shaking his head in regret he glanced up, hearing the father yell. He didn't even know what to say yet. He glanced up towards the window, his blue eyes looking obviously annoyed, angry, agitated, regretful and apologetic.
"Yeah okay I did it. I took her bracelet then gave it BACK to her!" He muttered the first part, his gaze low, and then snapped the last part obviously agitated. Why couldn't they just take him in already and let leave him alone.

Still watching Jason for a moment, she noticed his evident surprise at the fact that she was actually defending him in his actions. It was all very confusing actually, this position, as she was defending a man she only knew the name of for having done something that had been her fault. It was amusing to think that her morning had started out with a mere psaltery practice.

She jumped a tad when he jabbed the arrogant guards, and had it not seemed to harm him more, she might have laughed a tad at the expression of obvious agitation on the guards face. But when Jason's gaze passed her over, moving to her father in the window, she could see the obvious emotions within his bright eyes, and her even remote smile faded quickly as her own gaze continued to watch Jason.

As he grew to the point of shouting, her eyes widened a tad, and she almost felt guilty for having gained back her bracelet so simply.
Her gaze moved to her father a moment later, and her gaze was obviously quite pleading, and his shouts slowly began to fade. "All right guards, take him in. We'll find out what to do there."
It was odd, the way her household handled crimes of any kind, and she knew that her father enjoyed stretching out crimes of any sort, far out of proportion. More often then not though, he enjoyed making people pay fines, or if they were unable to pay, well then, they may end up working for a time in the home, or are just kept close watch of in the village.

[[O . O . C . -- Feel free to do what you'd like as a punishment, I just named some thoughts, you can do what you'd like, and feel free to write out things the father may say. :]

Jason didn't say anything after that. He was just done with this. The man yelling from the window looked as if he was over-reacting, but hell, around him anyone could over react. Dropping his gaze he didn't even bother to push the guards back anymore. They actually started to lead him inside. This was rather odd, since they actually weren't griping his arms as hard as they had before. There was the occasional jerk, or pull from Jason, until soon enough they were inside.

He didn't know quite what to make of this now. The confused expression returned to his face as he watched who he had assumed was Sawyers father, from previous occurrences, came towards him, with a grim expression on his face. At least the man wasn't yelling anymore.

"Do you have a job boy?" he directed towards him, his voice stern and agitated. Before Jason could even answer, the man started, "I didn't think so. If you cannot pay these fines then you will be working here. If you can't work here, then I hope you are alright with my guards following your every move."

Jason's eyes widened slightly at what he had just heard. "What?!" he shot back, slightly confused at this. "I can't work here, are you crazy??" he snapped. "What do you want me to o? I'm not staying here." he snapped. He didn't belong anywhere like this, and he knew this man was doing this because he knew that he didn't like it. He knew the king, Sawyers father. They'd met before, not properly, but since he'd been caught various times before. "Not working here." He muttered, casting his gaze to the side, obviously agitated now.

"Oh but you have no choice Jason. For this you must."
The king mused in a rather devious tone.
"What the hell!" was the only thing Jason could say. Now instead of throwing him in prison this king had a crazy way of dealing with this. He wanted him to work here? of all people. This was a joke.

{I hope this is okay ^^}

Taking her time, Sawyer walked in after the guards and Jason with an expression of concern and worry. Continuing to walk in after them, she cut around the three, her gaze passing over Jason for a moment with an already apologetic smirk. She stopped a few paces away from her father, and with her eyes she followed his movements as he approached, already seeing the humor revealing itself in his face.

As he spoke, she glanced back and forth between the two and her expression didn't seem to change, but she couldn't help but be embarrassed by her father's selfish actions. She knew it was all for his own amusement, and for this he seemed to so enjoy catching people who committed even the simplest of crimes. It was pathetic, and embarrassing as she was commonly used as the victim of crime acts, be it stealing, or attempted kidnapping. As for that, she often didn't get to spend time with other people...

Her arms were crossed a tad, one hand supporting the elbow of one hand while the other hung limply at her side. Her eyes revealed that she was a tad tired of these actions from her father, and that she was also tired of having her own name soiled for her father's actions.

Hearing Jason's reaction, she glanced at him for a moment, racking her mind for a quick statement response to at least make this situation a tad less harsh. She didn't want to seem selfish, she didn't want to come across as arrogant, but she figured that if she interjected even slightly, it may allow Jason to be a little bit relieved of the duties the household would give him, as her father was likely to make him clean the entirety of the house over, and over till he felt satisfied. Which, was hardly ever when it came to the household cleanliness.
"Father...?"
[[O . O . C . -- It's perfect. ^^
And I apologize for my post, I seem to lack muse right now. D:
I don't know what you would want Jason to need to do, so feel free to input that obviously.

Jason didn't say anything. It was like he couldn't think of a witty response for once. Maybe it was just the fact that he was tired, ready to collapse, yet was trying to keep himself steady at the same time. This was ridiculous. What now he was gonna be a servant to some arrogant freak king? Right. That seemed so pointless. He'd rather just go back to his life. Walking down the streets, finding things to do with his own wasted time. This wasn't what he'd imagined.

"You will stay in the chamber upstairs down the hallway. You'll do what you're told, and if not, there will be more dire consequences." The man spoke, but Jason wasn't even listening. Or at least only half listening.
"I'm not staying here. Are you out of your damn mind?!" he snapped, anger seeping out of his voice.
"You are here for three months. This could have been worse." the man growled.
Jason scowled. He would never want to work for this man. Not in a thousand years.
Jason simply scowled and glared at this man, unable to come up with anything to respond with by this point.
Looking up as he heard the girls voice again, he watched her, as she spoke her fathers name. His eyes almost looked as if they were pleading, though he tried to mask that, and kept himself still.

Glancing back and forth between the two still, she took into consideration the length of time that her father had called for, and she sighed faintly still attempting to use quick wit to see what she should say. She needed to either stall, or come forth with an idea soon. If her father gave him something to do, well then, she'd have no way to help him.

Hardly showing emotion, she noticed the obvious look of hope within Jason's eyes when she spoke and she almost smiled in response to that, but she turned her gaze to her father who had ceased speaking to listen to his daughter. "Perhaps Jason could work for me? I was hoping to do a bit of remodeling around the household, and I also agreed to assist in setting up this week for the festival and I could certainly use some help with the work. The garden needs tending, and I was hoping to make the extra room in the household into an office. If, of course, that would be alright?"

It took some time for her father to respond, and until the moment she did, Sawyer was unknowingly holding her breath, glancing at Jason for hardly a moment. "Well... I don't see anything wrong with that... And you have been talking about building that office for quite some time..."

For a moment Jason froze, listening to this conversation between father and daughter, his eyes not exactly one Sawyer. He waited, expecting another stubborn reply form the man, before he heard what Sawyer said, and then the response. His gaze reached Sawyer again, and the smallest hint of smile could be seen upon his face. Now that sounded much better than working with her father. Or at least, he thought it might be.

He didn't say anything since he didn't want to mess anything up anymore, so he just watched the two. His face almost looked relieved, and that small little bit bit of a smile still showed upon his face.

Her father was actually agreeing to this. Somehow he'd survive through it. "Very well." her father agreed.
"You'll be watched." her father muttered towards him, as he signaled for some of the guards to follow him. At least some of those guards were off his back.
"Take him upstairs." Jason heard the king call over his shoulder as he disappeared. Now he was simply being guided upstairs and his arms weren't being ripped off, thank god. This was a little more decent, but he still wasn't all that happy about working near that man.

[Perfect! ^^]

Hardly noticing the small smile revealing itself upon Jason's face, she listened to her father's response silently hardly feeling able to control how nervous she was about his reply. As her father left though, and Jason was led away, she openly sighed, finally feeling relieved of a great deal of stress. Smiling finally, she glanced after Jason and the guards, nearly falling back against the wall in relief, sliding to the floor a moment later. Her eyes moved to her bracelet a moment later, and she felt even greater relief in the fact that her bracelet was back.

Standing back up a moment later though, she smirked a tad, walking down the hallway and up the steps finding that the room that her father was placing Jason in was just down the steps in the guest room and she sat in her room for a moment realizing that her notebook was still left open upon her bed. Wondering if perhaps her father had figured her day's events through that, she closed the notebook locking it in her night stand drawer and placing the key to the drawer inside a seashell beside her lamp. Well, it was evidently time for her to find a new way to write in her journal.

Still smirking, she walked back downstairs waiting a moment before pulling on a pair of shoes and walking into the backyard, glancing about the garden beginning to think through what she wanted to do with the area layout.
