Red tuned out the sounds of the speech as she looked around, holding onto James hand tightly as they made their way towards the front of the ground, though she didn't want to go. She heard her name and tuned back in to hear what the priest said and she looked back at James as he let go of her hand. She flashed a slight smile before pulling her hood down, revealing her blonde hair as she walked up the stage graciously and with a cool air as she looked to the priest, nodding slightly.

The priest welcomed her with a brief hug,"We are all very sorry for your loss, Ms. Red.." he bowed his head in a moment of respect, as did everyone else in the crowd,"Ladies and gentlemen," he raised his head like a speaker,"Please welcome Saint Nicholas.." he clapped, everyone roared with excitement as the carriage door opened, out came the werewolf hunter, his hood down, revealing his face (pic in the form on the first page), he raised his hands, to mute the crowd, and everyone died down quickly to hear him. Nicholas cleared his throat, seeing Red, he smiled softly, glancing at the priest,"Is this the sister of the first victim?" the priest nodded sadly, Nicholas turned to Red,"I'm sorry for your loss, I too, lost a dear one to the beast.." he patted her shoulder in sympathy.

Red stiffened as the priest hugged her, she forced a sad smile as she played with her fingers, thinking of her sister. She looked at him as he announced the werewolf hunter and she turned to look at the man, her blue eyes alert and clear. Hopefully he could hunt better than he could impress people, because she was clearly not impressed. But she hoped he'd be able to get rid of the beast. She didn't return his smile, just dipped her blonde head in a respectful nod. "I'm sorry too," she replied before she jumped slightly as he patted her shoulder, jerking away automatically. "Who did you lose?" She asked bluntly, looking at him curiously.

Nicholas's icy blue eyes grew dark and foreboding, somehow turning to a shade almost black, he wasnt very old, around in his forties, but suddenly creases appeared in his face, making him look 10 years older, his head bowed and he closed his eyes, clearing his throat and licking his lips,"My wife." he stated hoarsely.
Then in the next few seconds he composed himself, the wrinkles and cold eyes going away, his determined smile coming back, almost as if she'd never brought up the subject of his wife."But i will avenge her, and every other innocent soul taken by the retched beast, it shall rue the day it was born!" he said this last part loud so the croud could hear and explode into a roaring applause.

Red was amazed at the change in the man but she didn't mention that, only looked toward the sky, as if she was searching for something, or someone. "I'm sorry sir," she said with a polite, sad tone. She aised an eyebrow and took a step back when his total attitude changed again. She found it strange and really weird when people were big hams, like this man. Sure, maybe he was a good hunter, but he enjoyed attention wayy too much. She looked out onto the crowd, her intelligent blue eyes searching for James. He made her feel more protected, and confident.

James was near the front, behind a group of old fisherman, he caught her eye and waved to her, smiling the way he did when he was pumped up and excited, it seemed he was getting caught by the crowds influence as well.
"Go on now, little lady.." Nicholas said softly, his eyes focused on the crowd, then announced loudly,"The hunt, will begin tonight!" he boomed, sending everyone back into gullible spirits, it was like a virus waiting to be caught, the blinding hope that he was their savior from this darkness, and they were willing to risk anything.
"Only the men who volunteer may join me on this chafing journey against destiny." he raised a torch someone must have passed to him, sending the atmosphere into another roar.
